The truth of the matter, is that we only have 1/10th the population and have a much bigger landmass to protect. Our climate is harsher and we have three oceans surrounding us and one superpower on the other side. We have natural resources and we need American know how, to take advantage of it. We can provide for your energy needs, but idiots like Obama, want to end fossil fuels, with their utopian view of how the world should be. Obama wasted a half a trillion dollars on green initatives that didn't work. While at the same time, kept out the XL pipeline and scaled back drilling permits, on public land in the U.S. With the Middle East ready to explode, where will the U.S. get their energy? It's right next door, but you'd rather get it from the middle east. At least we won't kill you, with the money that you send us.

Clinton: Republican House Of Representatives and a Republican Senate.

GW Bush: Democratic House and Democratic Senate and not the largest deficit ever.

Obama: Had a super majority in the House and Senate and had free hand to implement policies, unlike the previous administrations.

At the end of the Bush Administration, the National Debt was at 9 Trillion Dollars. Today, it's over 16 trillion dollars and rising. Obama care, 1 Trillion dollars more to institute. How will you ever pay back this amount of money, if you continue to spend over a trillion dollars a year more, then your taking in? The U.S. economy will collapse and the rest of the world will collapse with it. This isn't an American problem, but a world problem. You have to stop spending money and living beyond your means.

Taxes will increase on everyone if Obama is re-elected. He wants to tax what he thinks is wealthy, the middle class will pay more, and he wants to increase capital gains tax. None of this would free up more money for investment. All it would do is give teh Fed more cash to waste. I love how Obams claims to save teh auto industry. Well Ford didn't take a bailout, they're doing pretty good. Fiat owns Chrysler, and GM is still pretty much dead in teh water. Their stock is worth about half what it was 3 yrs ago. So what did he save? Some factory jobs that teh tax payers are providing? He still has nothing to show for his stimulus or bailouts. You can argue that teh real unemplyment is over 14%, college grads making min wage, living at home.

Even if you're a democrat I dont know how you can vote for him. Same one's that you make there.....Ford, Toyota, GM, Honda.....we do make vehicles here, you know. Just because head office is in Detroit, or Tokyo, doesn't mean that we're not efficient and have the know how to manufacture things. That's like saying, where do you get your electronics from? I may be mistaken on this, but didn't U.S. domestic manufacturing of television sets cease, over 10 years ago? But everyone has at least two. Same goes for cell phones.

Regardless of how the conservatives got into office, it would seem that their policies have worked.

I don't proclaim to know much about the Canadian economy, but I do know your dollar is now on par with ours. (Thanks to the Fed). I believe you have a trade surplus with us and manufacturing is up too. You weren't exposed to the banking crisis 'cause your government didn't demand they make loans to people with no money or means to pay it back. So therefor not nearly as many foreclosures.

Furthermore, I believe your corporate tax rate is something like 15% providing incentive for business to flood the country.

Like I said, I don't know much about your economy, but from what I read and hear, Canada is doing pretty well with conservative capitalism.

Hell, is where were going with socialism. It's been going on for decades. Odumba has only put it on steroids.

All you have to know is he name of someone registered to vote at particular polling place. It's really not complicated. You could tour the county voting over and over again. Every time a law is introduced to require ID to vote, Barrack and his minions block it...why do you think that is?

I wish people just went in and spoiled their ballots. You still get counted as a voter, but your vote doesn't go into anyone. If millions of Americans did it, maybe a 3rd party candidate would take notice and realize there are people who would support it.

Wrong....Obamacare is an extension of medicaid to cover more people. IF you dont have healthcare you have to buy it yourself by law or you are taxed. If you are an employer you must provide it or pay a tax, even for part time or seasonal epmplyees. In order to extend medicaid, medicare is being cut, insurance comanies will charge higher premiums to cover their cost. It is not a govt provided universal health care.

Medicaid is about the most inefective healthcare out there, it is extremely wasteful and will only pay a small % of what the actual cost is to teh medical profession. So if you're a MD and it costs you $100 bucks to provide a service, expect to see $40 from the govt and it will take months to get paid and tons and tons of paperwork, often requires more staff to deal with madicaid. Some MD's refuse medicaid as it stands cuz its such a buttpain. So Obamacare wil lincrease the amount of medicaid a professional will see. This is why so many are against teh bill.

I love America. I really do. I lived there for a year. I travel there every year.

So I'm not saying this to take stupid pot shots at your country.

But seriously, your electoral system is so incredibly backward, it really shouldn't even be considered a democracy. No other developed country in the world (or even developing ones) would ever attempt such an effed up system.

The voter registration system is so inherently stupid it defies description. How can you register as a Democrat or a Republican? And how can the incumbent party control the voting process?

But it's a system that forever guarantees that neither the Republicans nor the Democrats ever finishes lower than second, so it's here to stay.

Scrap the entire setup. Establish an independent body to administer elections.

Start with the tax returns to establish a proper voters' list (and drop the stupid argument about not wanting government to be tracking you - it's paranoid nonsense). Establish clear rules for adding your name - which yes, would include showing proper i.d. If minorities and the poor have problems obtaining government i.d., fix that problem. Don't devalue your electoral system.

But of course, this will never, ever happen.

Our best and brightest doctors, left for the U.S. decades ago, because it was up to them how they practiced medicine. They didn't want to go through the bureacracy that was present in the Canadian healthcare system. Now they're going to get it in spades, with Obamacare. Do you think that you'll be able to hold these people in the U.S., or be able to attract more, by making it more expensive to operate? Your healthcare system is going to suffer greatly under this.

On forcing employers to pay for this, good luck....they'll either cut back on employees, or move out of the country. That's great for job creation.

hahahahahaha obama does not have the super majority if anything republicans have fought him tooth and nail.....where he failed is in fighting for that damn obama care....i believe its good but it should not force it on people. Make it only available for those who want it.

He did for his first two years, and lost it in 2010 because things got worse. The republicans are doing exactly what they vowed they would do if they were elected in 2010, and the public voted them in, at least into Congress anyway. I'm not sure why everyone is surprised by this.

I was a huge Ross Perot fan....He was right about everything that has happened over teh past 20 yrs and people laughed at him. He's making some bold claims now about our debt and teh way teh country is going and people should listen to him. Now hes like 90 and cant run, but he isvery bold in his thinking.

I agree though, Romney is like the republicans John Kerry. Kinda boring, and teh dems were anyone but Bush, teh GOP is anyone but Obama. Im just glad its not Trump, or Newt. Romney is very smart and could be good for the country. He just isn't very exciting or charasimatic.
