Canada is using their assets to build their economy. If you look at the provinces that are having difficulty, you'll see that they're run by left of centre governments. Where they have sound conservative provincial governments, they have a booming economy. It's the Obama administration who's printing money night and day, with nothing to back it up. Every month, they print 100 Billion dollars and inject it into the economy, with very little results. All that it's done is devalue your currency and will eventually wipe out people's retirement savings, because of inflation. The cost of socialism my friend, the cost of socialism!

On the military slam, you better get your facts straight. Under the conservative government, we've actually started to rebuild our armed forces. I live near Canada's largest Air Base, in Trenton, Ontario, and they are continuing to expand and modernize their fleet of aircrafts and the infrastructure around it. Under the Chretien regime, we became antiquated as a military power. He bought used equipment from other countries and slashed military spending. Our foreign policy was benien and other countries laughed at us. No more. If Harper has done one thing, he's given our country back it's self confidence.

- PrinceLH

I never disagreed that the conservative party is better for Canada. It is.

How ever, US Military budget 711 Billion dollars. Canada, 24 Billion dollars.

If someone big wanted to take Canada and all its natural resources, and we didn't step in. they would get that poop.

No, you would step in! You know why?

Because Canada, economically, is nothing more than a colony of the US. We sell you our natural resources at ridiculously low prices, you manufacture them (or send them off to Mexico through American corporations), and then sell them back to us at ridiculously HIGH prices!!

The US gets all the 'value added' on our resources!

We don't even have an oil refinery for god sakes!! We sell you our crude, you refine it and sell it back to us!

Canada is a gold mine for the US. The reason the US would stop anyone is not because of the goodness of it's heart. It's becuase Canada is the US's little female dog economically and whoever took over Canada wouldn't give the US such great deals.

Devaluing your currency is not necessarily a bad thing. ..... It makes your exports cheaper hence increasing demand from outside countries....Hence increasing jobs in your country....China has artificially kept their currency low for this very reason....I personally happen to think the things are a little better under obama than they were under bush...

Bill Clinton - Finishes office with the Largest surplus ever

GW Bush - Finishes with the largest deficit ever.

Obama - 4 years to fix that poop.

That sounds fair.

- Buffalo--Sabres

Clinton: Republican House Of Representatives and a Republican Senate.

GW Bush: Democratic House and Democratic Senate and not the largest deficit ever.

Obama: Had a super majority in the House and Senate and had free hand to implement policies, unlike the previous administrations.

At the end of the Bush Administration, the National Debt was at 9 Trillion Dollars. Today, it's over 16 trillion dollars and rising. Obama care, 1 Trillion dollars more to institute. How will you ever pay back this amount of money, if you continue to spend over a trillion dollars a year more, then your taking in? The U.S. economy will collapse and the rest of the world will collapse with it. This isn't an American problem, but a world problem. You have to stop spending money and living beyond your means.

We, in Canada, lived under a devalued currency, back in the 90's. Imports where expensive. Food was more expensive. You had to work longer and harder, to try and stay even. You, in the United States, are starting to feel the pain of a devalued currency. Wages stay stagnant, but the price of utilities, fuel, food rise, as the dollar devalues. Your savings will buy you less and your pensions will put you into poverty, if left unchecked. Sure, you'll have jobs, but you'll need to work longer hours to survive. It's not a pretty picture.

On China keeping their currency low......have you ever talked to a Chinese worker? Why do you think they all want to come here?

This is why I hate it when Americans say 'we protect you, that's why you don't have a military'.

While the statement has some truth to it, it's a win/win situation for both sides.

It's like the mobster who has his 'territory'. He's getting extortion payments from businesses in that territory, and he'll fight any other mobster who tries to get extortion payments from any company in his territory.

He had two years of a Super Majority and did nothing with it, but ram Obamacare and a failed stimulus down your throats. All you have to show is socialized medicine and more money for the public sector unions. Get ready for the lineups at your local hospital, when this hindenburg gets off the ground.

- Buffalo--Sabres

Doesn't take a genius, just some common sense, which sadly is becoming less and less common.

All you have to know is he name of someone registered to vote at particular polling place. It's really not complicated. You could tour the county voting over and over again. Every time a law is introduced to require ID to vote, Barrack and his minions block it...why do you think that is?

"come here, we'll give you amnesty and give you free stuff...just remember who gave it to you when you vote"
