People taking advantage of the system. Having a bunch of kids and getting paid for it.

Canada might be different, but I dont think its a good idea in the US for the govt to pay idiots to keep breeding.

i guess you have the same argument for people who lose their jobs in the usa? idiots can't keep a job so why pay them unemployment benefits?

nice politics.

No dude. The unemployment benefits and Canad's mat leave are all fine. The problem is people will always take advantage of the system and abuse it. I cant speak for people in Canada, but no doubt about it, they will here. I think your mat leave program is great, im on the fence on your health care, i hear mixed things. i wish these programs would work here. Im all for helping people when they need it. But not everyone but a lot of people dont want to work, or work the min and collect a govt check. They have more kids so they add another dependent. I see it all the time. Im all for programs to help ppl get back on their feet and advance their lives. But it becomes a problem when you can support ppl to do nothing and continue that way.

Typical American. More worried about the poor people than the rich guy who's bending you over and giving you the shaft.

Newsflash, most first world countries are going to sustain a welfare state. That isn't what's put your country into a hole and caused most political scientists to pick your countries downfall as imminent.

Worry more about the wars your country hasn't been forced to pay for or the outrageous tax loopholes for the most wealthy.

Anytime your country wants to wage a war, there should be a 2% war tax on everything the country buys to pay for it so everybody will be feeling the burden to some extent of the war. Your fake politicians will never do that considering war makes your banks and military contractors even richer which basically is the real people that control your country. Since the bankers and military contractors have all your politicians paid and bought for, that will continue for quite some time.

But yeah, I'd definitely be worrying about the poor guy who's living the good life on those government hand out checks lol.

And that is the greatest illusion about your country is the rich has turned the focus of the middle class to focus on things that aren't really the problem via your corporate controlled media. Oh teachers are the problem because they make too much money, oh poor people are the problem because they get money to eat, or it's the immigrants working for nothing that is the problem.

Yea keep on worrying about the poor people and the teachers and let me know where that gets you in making your country better.
