I live in the US and they could care a less about hockey....I really don't think they've noticed the games aren't on...
Cancel the season and hopefully that will take care of the teams that can't support themselves....

Yep -- difference between the two sides amounts to about $2.5m/year/team and they are going to through the season out the window.

The deal gets done Thursday. 82 game schedule will make for great season. By Christmas the stoppage will be long forgotten.

Yes...because the NHL announced that it was cancelling the 2004-2005 season in October/November the last time as well.

I'll bet that they're players who are 3rd and 4th liners who see their livelyhood threatened.

Should be some pretty good hockey the first month or two with no training camp.

As they should, over 240 players lost their job after the last lockout....it's got to make many of them itchy for a season. Players (3rd/4th liners) in their 30's with 1 year left are not liking this lockout too much.

Nah...players are still trying to win the public perception battle. Unless they are willing to make an offer or force Fehr to make another one but based on the owners proposal...it's all media positioning.
