Schultz has shown some serious skill so far, very impressive. But he's yet to play an NHL game, lets not get carried away with Norris trophy talk.

Jake Gardiner seems to have hit his stride in the AHL so far this year too.

I’m not a professional scout or anything. If I was, I may have been able to make Norris predictions after his first AHL game. Although, it really did take him 20 to 25 minutes to hit his stride, and start his reign of domination. So, it may have taken pro scouts a full two games. After four games, however, I think it’s blatantly obvious to even the casual hockey observer that Justin Schultz will be nothing short of an elite NHL dman, to go down in the annals of hockey history as one of the best to ever play the game. That is, after all, a full 240 minutes of hockey. More than 80 by him alone.

I can't believe he called Paajarvi a bust!

Calling Hall a bust is simply retarded.

There is only one player in hockey history to have his jersey retired league wide. And, if I recall, it was done prior to waiting the prerequisite number of years after retirement. I actually believe that a player of Schultz’s magnitude is enough to justify retiring the players jersey prior to the player himself retiring. In fact, these first four AHL games is enough for me.

This poses a major problem, however. What number will Justin Schultz wear, if we retire his jersey?

My prediction for 2012-13:
Calder Cup
Calder Trophy
Beats up Kyle Calder.

Not necessarily in that order.

AHL games mean everything. Schultz is a superstar and RNH/Eberle are busts.

I think your opinion Is off on Magnus! If you watch the games instead of look at the stat page, you'd realize he's playing physical, and drivin to the net! Much improved player

=== Oilers d being about 50 times better than last year.

3 of those guys (all surprisingly in the top 4) haven't even touched NHL ice yet. Unless this is a couple years down the road.
