I'm still going with my gut feeling of Jan 2013 to start the Season.

Since your gut feeling is normally as gold as gold, I plan to go to some early January games to start the season.

and who are we going to have in net? Michael Leighton?

People need to get off of Bryz's back. When he finally wins the Cup for us, I can't wait to point out all his naysayers. It's going to be a bittersweet moment.

Don't do that. People are allowed to be wrong even if they sound ridiculous doing it.

The thing that is troubling to me is, Mike Smith was nothing more than a career journeyman, he steps into the Phoenix system and puts up numbers that far exceed anything Bryzgalov ever did there.

Bryzgalov was the Vezina 1st runner-up in 2009-10; 2.29 GAA, .921 SV%, 8 SO. Smith finished 4th last year with slightly better stats (2.21 GAA, .930 SV%, 8 SO) but also had a better team in front of him than Bryzgalov did in best Phoenix season. Even though Bryz wasn't quite as good the next season, he still won Team MVP honors again and placed 6th in the Vezina voting.

BTW, Bryzgalov had a damn good season for Phoenix in 2007-08 when Gretzky was the head coach; so you can't give Tippett all the credit.

I guess that blows away the notion that Bryzgalov has been an average and/or mediocre Goalie in the past.

I'm going with the week before (American) Thanksgiving so Homer has time to trade that turkey, Hartnell, in time for the holiday.

Is it true that 2/3 of flyers season tix holders have returned there tix? If so that's awesome.

These players need to wake up. I think NHL but a very fair deal foward. And they have the nerve to come back with something completely different. Where is the sense of urgency?

Let them all rot overseas. Have fun telling your family lets move to Russia.

That whole deal about Tippet's system is just speculation. And certainly not a fact. Regardless, a Goalie has to stop the puck when it comes at him. I don't buy that whole deal about tippet's system for a second. Spin it any way you want. Bryzgalov has been far more then just an average/mediocre Goalie in his career.
