5 Balls: Columbus
3 Balls: Calgary, Carolina, Dallas, Minnesota, New York Islanders, Toronto, Winnipeg
2 Balls: Anaheim, Buffalo, Colorado, Florida, St. Louis, Tampa Bay
1 Ball: Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Edmonton, Montreal, Nashville, New Jersey, Ottawa, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, San Jose, Vancouver, Washington
...the Blue Jackets would have just a 9.6% chance of winning.
What would the league-wide reaction be to Nathan MacKinnon in Pittsburgh? What about Los Angeles? And my, oh my, imagine if the Leafs won the lottery.
Now that Bob McKenzie has thrown his hat into the ring, it's time to unveil the initial 2013 Consensus Draft Rankings. The sources for the consensus list are Bob McKenzie, Future Considerations, ISS, Corey Pronman of Hockey Prospectus, and The Scouting Report.

CBJ chose the 2013 first rounder. We used our 2012 pick. the 2013 pick we dont know what it would turn out to be. I assume with a lottery draft that CBJ would still get LA's pick. It would most def be a late first rounder though. |

LA isnt even listed. Why wouldnt they get atleast one ball. Thats treating it like theyre winning the cup again. Not that it matters to us since CBJ holds the first pick. But it would factor into our later round picks. |

i think cup winners pic is last pic overall,,, in a full lockout thou i think the rules change and pick changes do not matter. |

Right. We just picked last overall for winning the cup. Seems weird to not have a ball at all for the lottery draft. Cant treat the Kings as cup winners again for the lock out year. |

I don't think this is right. CLB only gets 3 balls, that's the most you can get. It looks like they combined the CLB and LA picks together which isn't true. CLB gets a 3 ball chance at the #1 and LA's pick get (according to their numbers) a 2 ball chance. They don't get a 5 chance at #1 they get a 3 and a 2 chance. It's not a combination of picks, it's two separate picks. This isn't accurate.

No, they traded the pick. Why would they still pick if it was traded? The lockout has no bearing on drtaft picks traded 7-8months ago. |

They do, 3 balls and 2 balls. The article has mistakenly combined the 2 which is false. |
