we'll see. at least one way or the other, this will be over in a week or two. Fehr is either blowing hot air and they'll settle, or he really does mean to alter the framework of the NHL's CBA, in which case, this thing is going to go way longer than one season.

Fehr's got a point about the impact to all players salaries...reducing from 57 to 50 represents $231M less...so if my math is correct, it's going from about $1.88 B to $1.65B...why won't the league maintain salaries at $1.88 until this is 50% of revenues and then going forward keep it at 50%???
Also, they are still talking about redefining HRR and having the players take on the burden of revenue sharing for struggling franchises...How are struggling franchises the players' responsibility?
