Also, Howie, I need an update on the debate. Your FB didn't blow up so I assume Obama did much better than last time?

Well, if being awake is the litmus test, then he did much better. Other than that, he was just more argumentative. I don't believe Mitt did any worse, but I also don't think the other guy did anything so wonderful as to sway the momentum back. Also, they screwed up traffic for me.

Loved when Romney was questioned about contraception and he somehow managed to build a bridge and switch the conversation towards gas/energy.

Find a way to force more bipartisan effort, get back to a more secular set up, poop can the 2 term max.

We do but the minority aspect of our govt helps offset the situation somewhat. The US system of house and senate is bulky, slow and inefficient.

At least he did that much. The other dude didn't even try - just told Romney to continue his turn!!
In any case, that's what they do. They can't be right on everything of course and so they steer towards what they are best at.

It also makes it impossible to get much accomplished. And if the stars align and that thing does get accomplished, it's quashed as soon as the numbers favor the other side.

Yeah, I like how the house of representative, if not on the same side as the senate, can pretty much screw everything up.

If a President wants to do something, block him, and then go on a campaign and say that same president didn't do anything.

Such a waste of time.

He was a lot less convincing to me last night. I think Obama punished him on coal and green energy.

Obama did well on energy to be sure.
But again, I don't think Romney was any different last night. It was just that Obama actually showed up.

Remove some of the lobby options that allow some of these turds to get elected and maybe they won't be as quick to support so blindly.

Again, good luck. The lobbies are what runs this country. Has been that way for a very long time, and I don't think it will ever change.

Romney looked better on income tax and less govt spending but failed in education, womens rights more of the social issues. He looked like a bit of a tool. The final one is foreign policy? That should be interesting.

Gee, I wonder what each will focus on.
As for Romney with the women issues, his numbers are up with women and I don't think he did so poorly. By definition, the red guy is gonna fall behind on that stuff.

A huge waste of time. 4 years to unravel a mess of a situation and then throw a contentious roadblock like that in the mix and everything gets mired to a standstill.
