Indeed.

Berger just tweeted that if that offer is rejected, the league will cancel the whole season.

- Pecafan Fan

I can't see them doing that until at least December.

NHL commissioner Gary Bettman told reporters that the NHL offered the players a 50/50 split in revenue, which would begin in the first year of the deal.

the way that's worded, revenue split would remain stable but who knows.

I think this offer was the lowest the owners would go in the end.

So why not throw it out there, if they don't accept it, (frank) 'em

Who's gonna look greedy now?

- pete26

Agreed, no way the owners would take less than 50% and I don't think they should. I think the main point is how long will it take them to get to 50%.

Bettman added that the offer calls for no salary rollback and the revised schedule - if implemented - would see every team play an extra game every five weeks.

Makes sense if it's 50-50 all the way.

Well, if the owners decided that this offer is make or break, might as well cancel it now and put the blame on the players.

A condensed schedule would make backup goalies crucial, which would be great news for teams like the Leafs who have two.

I think if the players insist on a phased in roll-back the NHL may be interested if they are allowed to get out of one contract per team.

I think the owners already think they're going to cancel the season. The longer they wait the more people talk about it.

He was.
My son isn't bad, but he needs to keep working. He will be six soon.
But he is really good with the puck.

- hscesq

he is still very young. I know for myself, I got better when I started playing hockey. Trying to get the puck was the main goal, and forgetting I was on skates kind of helped me improve.
