Just have to wonder about the Murray hire. I mean his style couldn't be more different from Lava's. Wonder whats going through Couts and Schenn's head

Why wonder about it? Terry Murray is a very good Coach. The young players under him will learn the right way to play the game, and be strong fundamentally. Why would anything unusual be going through Couturier and Schenn's heads? It was a quality hire by the Flyers.

I have to agree that murray's a quality coach and teacher. As far as schenn amd couturier go, they've played hockey for so long they've had probably just about every kind of coach.

Probably.

This just in: The NHL and NHLPA still suck. Bill Daly's latest quote made me shake my head in disgust:

“We are pleased with the Alberta Labour Board’s ruling today that the lockout of Players is effective on a League-wide basis, including in Alberta, and we are extremely appreciative of the decisive manner in which the matter was handled.

“We are hopeful that this ruling will enable both the League and the NHL Players’ Association to focus all of our efforts and energies on negotiating a new Collective Bargaining Agreement in order to get our game and our Players back on the ice.

Uh... yeah. Like you were supposed to be doing since, oh I don't know, long before it ever got to this insane game of chicken?

Come on skip, you know how distracting the labour board's decision was. How could they be expected to work at it until that was resolved?

I see some of our great beat writers have no problem continuing the Bryz onslaught during this lockout.
