You can take Lafleur on the Nords if you want but you get the broken down injured one not the Montreal superstar. You get the caliber of player he was during his time with the franchise.

Well this post proves you are just trolling and are absolutely clueless to what you are talking about....might want to check what team Lanny had his 66 goal season with, Who Tanguay's most productive year was with , as well as Mullen's best year. I'll give you a hint they were all with the same team.

Flames top 9 are better without a doubt I'm not sure Tanguay would even make mine as he probably should be replaced by Loob.

They may have had their one Best year with the flames, but they had a better collective of years with other teams.

Tanguay had 3 plus 75 point seasons as an AV, he had 1 with the Flames,
0.90 ppg with AVs 0.84 with the flames

Lanny had 4 plus 85 point seasons with the Leafs he had 1 with the flames
1.05ppg as a Leaf and 0.95 as a flame (excluding is last 2 injury ridden seasons)

Mullen was pretty consistent on both teams, had his best year just like every other flame seemed to and it was suprisingly during the year they won their only cup. It still doesn't deny that he was a contributing factor to two Pens Cups not one.

It's not trolling, you wanted to subtract good players from the Nords all time roster becuase they didn't have their best years there, meanwhile you disregard that some of the flames players had better years on other teams.

If you want to compare best SC winning teams we can do that, But I thougt we were comparing the best all time players that have played for your team. It's not my fault there is not much difference between the 2 for you.

It's moronic to compare Lafleur's time with the Nords as being equal to Lanny's, Mullen's or Tanguay's time with the Flames. The fact that you can't see this is telling.
I have no objection to you using Lafleur, I have an objection to you thinking they'll be getting the 1977 Montreal form of him.
I didn't disregard nothing , they all had their best years as Flames.
You don't see me claiming that the Flames should be able to have the 1991 Hart trophy version of Brett Hull on their team. If he was on the team it'd be the rookie version...the one that actually played for them.

Go ahead use Lafleur from his Nord years , which one do you want? His 12 goals from 1990 or his 12 goals from 1991?

I already conceded Lafleur, and it's still a better lineup

The other players mentioned still had better careers in other places, but you are basing their placement off one year.

If the Lesser Players deserve a spot on the Flames fine, just remember it's a 25% chance you get the 80 point Tanguay and a 75% chance you get the 60 Point.

No actually Calgary has the better lineup, and they clearly never , each one of them had their career year as a flame.
I don't know what your obsession with tanguay is but I doubt he'd even be on the top 3 lines if even on the team. And since when are there no 4th line, goalie or defensemen add these and it's even more in Calgary favor.

so you're saying kipper>roy?
and blake/foote blow? (don't know who would be on either d corps beyond them and MacInnis)
As for Tanguay, look at his stats in Colorado. Theres a reason you guys gave him $5M plus when he became a UFA

Edit: both lineups look pretty decent htough.

When did Roy and Blake ever play for Quebec? Oh that's right they never.

I already said the Av's would probably be 4th and the Flames 5th on that list but it'd be close. Buddy is trying to say the Nords alone would be better.

I'm well aware of Tanguay's stats , and it doesn't change the fact that his best year was in Calgary.

Sorry, just saw sakic and forsberg and other avs players and thought you were saying the flames all timers were better than COL/QC

I'll slink back into the bushes now.

Re: Tanguay: as total points, yea but I'd say 79 in 69 and 78 in 71 are better than 81 in 81...
