Ducks don't have an all-time better team than the Kings.

Anyone with a little bit of hockey history IQ can tell you that.

Yotes (considering they also have the history of the Jets) should also be ahead of, at bare minimum, the Wild.

yea, 2 Hall of Famers, the Guy who shut Messier down and a guy Wayne Gretzky called " one of the most gifted players he has seen"

and... all 4 have won a Stanley Cup.

I think Huselius shouls have at least been on the list to vote for left wingers. He's contributed more to the Flames than Cammy.

If the Oilers are the #1 (which I believe that they are) the Flames team that is made up of players who gave them their toughest games are easily in the playoffs and are fighting for top 4.
This is obviously a list from someone who never watched hockey in the 80's.

I really can't see the all time Flames beating the Avs or Wings.

Wings would be tough but I don't see the AV's a whole lot better, they'd be pretty even...of course my team would have Housely and Phaneuf off and McCrimmon, Macoun in and maybe Ramage as the reserve, There was a reason Calgary was one of the best teams defensively at their peak. Those guys may not be as flashy as Housely or Phaneuf but were hard nosed and tough to play against.

Still better picks than Patrick Stefan , the worst #1 overall pick since Greg Joly

Stefan is the worst 1st Overall pick since Greg Joly (1974). Who is the worst 6th overall pick? yea.. who cares.

They gave them their toughest games becuase of the intensity of the rivalry, do you think an all time Quebec team would be better then an All time Islanders or Bruins team? Based on the fact that the Quebec/Montreal Rivalry produced some great and tough games for the habs?

For me, the list from 7th to 10th is all pretty close, And I was thinking of it like a season was played, who would finish where.
The Ducks team may not have as much history, but when they were good they were damn good.
But whatever, it's only a couple points separating those bubble teams, maybe the flames make it to the 7th or 8th, but I can't see them finishing any higher then that. Plus this way they still get to give the Oilers that hard fought opening series.

I thought of that, but decided to give the Jets history to the Jets, didn't seem fair to base the Jets all time team on one year.

True, the 86 SC final is the first memory i have of watching hockey and it is a bit foggy, but it gets clearer as time moves on from there, So I do remember the heartbreak in 89 vividly.

The Flames never finish outside the top 3 in the Campbell Conference during the 80's so it's not very apt to compare them to the Nords.

Exactly plus the Nords didn't win a cup, make the finals twice, win any president trophies and Montreal was good in the 80's but sure weren't the Oilers.

Why is Lafleur even there , let alone on the top line?
Thats like putting Brett Hull on Calgary, you get what the player produced when playing on that team not their best years with a different team like when Lafleur was on the Habs.
Lafleur, Clark and Forsberg with the Nords are much diferent players than in their time with Habs, Leafs and Avs.
Kent Nilsson would definitely be in the top 9 as well.

I didn't realize this had to be based on only what they accomplished with the team, Lafeur may have only played 2 injury ridden seasons in Quebec but he is still one of the greatest players to ever play the game.

But whatever don't include, replace him with Marc Tardiff and A.Statsny for Clark.

Both are ppg players for the Nords.

That's still a better top 9 then the flames.

Oh and Lanny was a better Leaf then a flame so you might aswell take him off your roster.

Tanguay a better Av then a flame.

Mullen won 2 cups with the Pens, strike him off the list.

You can take Lafleur on the Nords if you want but you get the broken down injured one not the Montreal superstar. You get the caliber of player he was during his time with the franchise.

Well this post proves you are just trolling and are absolutely clueless to what you are talking about....might want to check what team Lanny had his 66 goal season with, Who Tanguay's most productive year was with , as well as Mullen's best year. I'll give you a hint they were all with the same team.

Flames top 9 are better without a doubt I'm not sure Tanguay would even make mine as he probably should be replaced by Loob.
