I'd rather educate while creating the team...too easy to just throw together one paragraph and then a simple list. Why not list the top 12 players in each category and educate the younger fans on some of the legends while you're at it. - Colin Dambrauskas
True, your actually one of the few bloggers giving info on each player which is great.
There's always going to be a bunch of people who just skip the blog and vote for Cammy, Roberts, etc. Basically the only players they know. |

ya riser is a good one as well. and if you factor in his days coaching it adds to his value.
Are we voting on coaches as well? - numbear
Riser was a great fiesty player, loved his style.
Brutal coach, and dont even go to his GMing position. For his body of GMing work his name and memory should be forever banished from Calgary Flames history. |

well roberts they should vote for. but you are right thats how they vote (just like neely on the canucks blog....ouch) |

No love for Huselius? He did beat out Tangs for 1st line LW while he was here.. He's also far more talented than Paul Ranheim. I wouldn't vote him into the top four but he deserves to be on the list. |

Especially Chouinard. His current vote total is a travesty. |

Yeah, he played both but did primarily play the right wing...but as the coach, I wanted to balance my lines a little better |

although good.
none of those are close to iggy, loob, lanny, and fleury in numbers and what they gave to the team (3 of them were captains). 3 (not sure of loob) were 50+ goal scorers. If those 4 aren't in I'll have to shake someone like the baby I never had.
Stern was a fan favorite (I liked him), same with Plett.
Bure was a bright moment in a crappy time. - numbear
Loob had 50 goals and 56 assists in the 87-88 season. |

Cool thanks...I wasn't positive on that one
So basically if iggy/lanny/loob/fleury don't win by a landslide....I have no idea what to think |

He was a 1st team allstar right winger for the Flames, but your call. |

I thought loob played on the left more then Mullen myself. But it works either way |

Point is, with the list of LW that were available, and the list of RW's....I figured I'd throw a name or two on each side to balance things out. But again, this roster is entirely up to you guys, so let me know if you'd rather something different. |

A few have asked that, and its ultimately up to Ek and the other site admins...they havnt mentioned it so far but I'll ask. |
