The Swedish champs Brynäs is about to strengthen the squad.
According to SPORT-Expressen is NHL defenseman Cody Franson, 25, agreed with Brynäs and the transition is expected to be official soon.
During the autumn Brynäs looked at possible reinforcements on defense. Both Niclas Andersén and Mattias Ekholm left the team after last year's national championships, and there are gaps to fill. Now the club is going to recruit from North America.
According to SPORT-Expressen is NHL defenseman Cody Franson agree with Brynäs and the transition is expected to be official soon.
The Canadian four years behind him in the Nashville Predators organization, before last season, he changed over to the Toronto Maple Leafs and made 21 points (5 +16) in 57 games.
In the playoffs the year before, he made six points in twelve games for Nashville.
Do not lock out players
Franson is currently no valid NHL contract and counted in other words, not a lockout players - making it easier for Brynäs to recruit him.
Franson is right handed, flexible and above a back that can be used in numerical across modes.
With the impending lockout, he got into a tricky contract position in North America and that's the main reason he is still not extended his contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
JVM Gold in Dalarna
Brynäs is in fourth place in the SEL after seven games played and the reverse side is Lars Jonsson about to make a comeback after his surgery last summer. While still missing injured shoulder Dennis Persson, who is still several weeks from making a comeback.
Cody Franson has a JVM gold on merit list from 2007 when the tournament was played in Mora and Leksand.
SPORT-Expressen has sought in vain Brynäs sporting director Michael Sundlöv and club director Hans-Göran Karlsson.
He said he was listing the guys that didn't make the cut first.
But Roberts is 3rd in all-time playoff scoring among Maple Leafs left wingers, behind only Wendel Clark and Frank Mahovlich for what it's worth. - Two_For_Truth
Wendel Clark (Frank Mahovlich was ok too) Did you know that no player has ever achieved 1000 pts while playing with the Toronto Maple Leafs? Almost 100 years and no one has reached 1000 pts...wow I didn't know that until now. - LeftCoaster
Well, Wendel was certainly a very good player but not in the same class as Frank Mahovlich.
The former an often injured decent goal scorer with an edge and the latter a hall of famer with superstar skills.
