Why do you guys hate Toronto so much? I get why some of their fans are bitter because they haven't seen the playoffs in years, but the Canucks really have no rivalry with them as a team. I hate Chicago, Boston, LA and Calgary much more.

we dont hate the leafs. We just hate ON the leafs. you know, Cuz its so easy.

Not too mention there fans are know it alls who truly believe there sad ass team will somehow win the cup every year. They rub there early season success in our face only to see us at the top and themselves on the bottom by years end.

Canucks have 3 rivalries better then any of Toronto.

And throw on top of that all the Anglo Montrealers who moved to Toronto in the 70's, but for some odd reason decided to keep cheering for the Habs instead of falling in love with Ballard's Leafs. Heads up boys...there's talk in the refs thread about this whole "Leafs suck" vs. "Canucks Suck" back and forth.

Both sides think the other started it, who the hell knows, who the hell cares.

Either way, just a heads up to tone it down as I suspect bans may be dropped a little easier than normal pretty soon for any trolling.

#1 Leafs rivalry is the Habs (although the Habs' #1 rival is the Bruins).

As much as I hate to admit it, Leafs/Habs doesn't even hold a candle to Yankees/Bosox.

Lol Canadians dont understand that...my buddy watched one of those at Fenway. He said when they bought the tickets from a local broker the guy goes "we better beat them, I hate when those (frank)ing douchebags from NY come to town"
Then he said you go watch the yankees SP in the bullpen before a game, hearing 1000 bosox fans screaming some of the most vulgar S*** you'll ever hear... Stuff in this day and age as a Canadian you can't even imagine one human would say to another.

Then there's NFL games...try going to a Raiders home game and cheer for the visiting team. Try cheering for the chargers or Broncos there.... Might end up with more knife holes than a cheese grater. It doesn't even make the news because it happens frequently enough that stabbings arn't news worthy.

That generally isn't tolerated in this thread and the Leaf mods are making a point of getting it out of the Leaf threads. I don't think it's been overly bad in here. You've got to expect some disagreement and discussion. People are bound to hate our team: they win too much to be likable and they haven't won enough to shut up the haters. I think it was Esplen and Augello writing endlessly about Luongo. It prompted too much interaction between the 2 fanbases and brought out the juvenile nature of each.
