I went back to listen to Audioslave after not hearing them for a few years...and no they weren't...They were much more meh. Very studio oriented. I'd rather hear old Soundgarden than Audioslave.

It is too bad, because Audioslave should have been so much more than what they turned into. I personally think the band chemistry was just not there and it translated through into the music.

In that they were too hyped as the NEXT THING? Maybe. But it is hard to not say that when One of the Front men of the 90s and one of the biggest bands of the 90s combine. I personally liked them as they came out, thought they were tight, but going back just doesn't rekindle the enjoyment.

Speaking of enjoyment, anyone watch The Guild?
