If you look at Bertuzzi's 18 year career as a whole, those 3 seasons as a PPG+ stud with Vancouver look more like a product of the line he was playing on, wouldn't you think?

it'll be interesting to see how this plays out, but they definitely have big balls having the third lockout where they've demanded concessions from the players.

yes the players are millionaires but they still are workers and without these guys, what would we watch? arenas with no players are kind of boring.

maybe they could get us to come 2-3 days a week to watch clips of old players playing in games that mattered? while charging us 70-200 dollars a ticket?

I dont see the owners as being stupid, the 10 or so owners making the big dollars know their fan base will come back and they will continue to make the kind of money they are making before the lockout. How long did it take for the fans to come back in the major city the last time, like 2 games maybe. Beside that, the money they make off their respective teams is chicken scratch compared to their other businesses.

The 18 or so owners not making the big dollars need this lockout to stop the bleeding and get their costs under control.

Unfortunately it will probably take a year and a half for the players to figure out the owners will get what they want.
