Maple Leafs should annonce today that François Allaire won't be back. The goalie coach was with the team for the last 3 seasons.

Do you know why Scrivens isn't being sent down? I don't see how he can be claimed if he has a 2 way contract.

Until the Canucks fans do it and then they're just jerks.

2-Way doesn't have anything to do with waivers. Has to do with games played/age/etc.

couldn't he have signed a different contract that would have allowed him to go to the ahl?
It was painfully obvious a lockout was on it's way, seems strange Scrivens was willing to give away a year of hockey.

Is there a chance we could steal LA's coach?

I forget how it works but because of how he was when he signed, how old he is now and how many NHL games he has... he'd have to go through waivers. The fact they don't want to risk it speaks to the fact that they believe others out there would take him (see him as an NHL goalie).

two way contracts only indicate two different salaries depending where you play
nhl you get say your 1 mil, if you go to the ahl you negotiate say 20 % so youd get 200k in the ahl

waiver rules are 100% different and separate from it

Nothing that I know of. An AHL-only contract means he wouldn't be Leafs property and anyone could sign him.

Gotta say I'm one of the lucky ones that has no allergies, but ya they kicked the poop outta the wife too. She's like addicted to this Otravin stuff. I call it her Coke-travin.

Did you side the Shack up?

- wolfos412

nope.. turned out to be a pretty hectic weekend... got plans to head out next weekend and do it.

I kinda think Dad wants to be around for it as well.. and he was tied up with work this weekend.

yeah, i try to avoid meds at all costs.. for some reason i find they only delay the symptoms.. not eradicate them.

I would think age more than games, cause he's only played 12... that seems pretty low.

Funny thou, Leafs looking for a goalie the last couple months and use Reimer as a backup knowing they couldn't send Scrivens down without hitting waivers....

Interesting Stuff.

It's the two together. It's the most confusing poop in the world.

I just go to capgeek to check their waiver status.

tidbit:

Today is the day they change the name of the John Labatt Centre here in London to Budweiser Gardens

changing the name right now my gf tells me.

So now it will be known as "Bud Gardens" with the nickname "The House of Green"

Methinks there are going to be a lot of disappointed potheads in the next couple of weeks.
