I am still only halfway through the first season, I got a lot of catching up to do - TPC
Its a lot to follow but if you watch it on demand they have "inside the episode" at the end of each one, does a great job of connecting everything.
Season three has blown my mind so far, its crazy. |

The one bright spot Nick is that we will have October open to go on a horror movie binge...best month of the year - TPC
I'm going to Comic Con October 13th and seeing Primus in 3D live on October 19th...
October will be a good month! |

This league does not deserve the patronage of its fans. Plain and simple as far as I am concerned. We lost a whole less than a decade ago to get the CBA that was in place through the last hockey season, and now we are supposed to believe that such CBA was so fundamentally flawed that we need to miss significant portions (if not all) of another season to fix it. All this while teams have done everything in their power to find loopholes in the existing CBA to circumvent the very same salary cap that they fought so hard to achieve, and in many instance rushing to sign players prior to its expiration. Not only do such actions reek of hypocracy, but they are playing all of us fans for fools.
The fans will come back. They will buy our exorbantly priced jerseys. They will buy season tickets, and overpriced beer because they have no other option. That is indeed what the NHL thinks. They take their fans for granted, because they believe that they can.
So, I will say this, if this lockout kills another NHL season, I am officially done. I will go watch the OHL. I will watch college hockey. I will tell you guys what I think of Boo Nieves and other Rangers prospects. But, the NHL will be dead to me, because I am too damned old and jaded to watch a bunch of idiots destroying a great game and product by engaging in the type of gross negligence that they are now. I will even put a damn electrical zapper on my T.V. that will shoot bolts of electricity through me if I even try to turn on an NHL game. - Pete V
Remember 8 years ago we were promised cost certainty and lower ticket prices as a result of the lockout? They're not promising anything now - not to us fans anyway.
I can understand the owners' side - to a certain degree. The cost of running a team has greatly increased, from player contracts to hotel costs, fuel costs to fly the team all over, etc. So I can see how reducing player salaries would help that. But the one thing I don't understand is that aside from that, the owners haven't provided any other means to help the struggling franchises. So in 5-7 years we will be right back here again. It's unfathomable how narrow-minded and sort-sighted they are.
It's really not them against the players, it's them against the other owners. It really makes you wonder how they made it in the business world in the first place. |

That's the problem. Sports is a unique business where you actually have direct competitors that you try to beat but then you are part of a collective too so the health and viability of your competitors is also a concern. In the real business world these guys would be trying to run their competition out of business but not in sports. It must be strange for some of them and even anti-intuitive. |

still cant believe gainey traded him for gomez... - Jaciems
It was like Milbury possesed him for a minute. One of the absolute worse trades ever. Also saving Sathers ass with the Gomez contract in the process. Wow |

I'm so slammed at work, and so committed to working out 5 days a week, that I suddenly find myself not as mad as I was. It'll be hard to fit it in when it comes back. I just wish they'd say yes, we're back, or see you in 2013 so I could plan.
ETA: Or get all my money back. |

I don't know about that, I hear Ed Snyder's grandson wants a new Mercedes SL350. I think that's were your money is ticketed. - OLDSCHOOL#6
Oh, I can get my money back. I'm pretty sure a threat about broken contract (they contracted with me to provide hockey for the money they have) and the State Atty Genl would get me a refund and canceled STH. And Ed is not the owner of the Flyers. Comcast Corporation is. |

If I understand correctly, some clubs are merely offering credits for games lost with a small percentage tacked on top of that. I wonder if the fine print in your season ticket agreement contains language allowing the Flyers to do the same rather than refunding your entire expenditure. |

My boss at work is a Flyers season ticket holder and I believe I remember her saying she can either get back the full refund or take the credit on the games lost with interest. |

Like I said, I could be wrong and maybe the Flyers do it differently than other teams. I know each team is allowed to dictate its own policy. I haven't read specifically that people can cancel their plan and get a full refund but I know I would be pissed if I was a season ticket holder unable to get a full cash refund. |

Agreed. I love the rangers but I can't deal with this lockout poop anymore. I've given this league enough of my cash. I'm sticking to junior hockey. (frank) bettman and the owners |
