A lockout will really hurt the Rangers. Another year older for Richards and Nash

Not trying to be a douche but you contradicted yourself. It is certainly Snows fault for our coaching amongst other things. You can't pin everything on Wang.
- Cptmjl

how did i contradict myself? Gordon, Cappy are Wangs decision, not Snows,
trust me,
Snow wanted to bring in Marc Crawford, and others, prob is Wang does not want to pay millions for a coach....
these ahl coaches with no salary are Wangs decision solely, trust me

Absolutely correct. Also with a team like them, Philly, Toronto, they are losing boat loads of cash.

NO, but at that time, clueless and not patient enough/smart enough to prob get better value at that time

Patience wasn't an option with Roloson making comments in the paper & being an issue in the locker room.

OK, how do we know this? Never heard or read any of this stuff and I have friends that work with the team. Capuano is one of Snow's buds. That I know and he was fully endorsed by Snow.

Alot of that has to do with who is selling it to them. If he was a reputable, good GM players would listen. They don't.
- Cptmjl

i agree hes not reputable, and maybe lacks the respect, but he has offered cash, to certain players.

me too, ppl i know that work w/team. it wasnt public knowledge or articles written, its all behind the scenes stuff. funny thing is, last yr, i bumped into Jaffe, and asked if somethings are tru, he confirmed it mostly.

Snow has to endorse what Wang wants, or else he gets fired

Another Islander mishap. There is so much Snow has done or hasn't done that make him the BAD GM that he is today. Keeping Capuano not trading PA there is so much sh!t I don't need to get into it. Capuano is Snow that is notWangs fault. Wang sucks major a$$ believe me I'm well aware of his strangle hold but Snow has take some of the blame. The two of them together have destroyed this club as a tandem.

bro, maybe you are getting me confused, im in agreement w/u about Snow doing a lousy job, im just stating that alot of blame is bc of Wang, not letting Snow do certain things.

Neil Smith had the respect of players and around the league, bc Wang wanted his way, Smith got fired, so unfortunately Snow is just playing puppet.

I'm not confused at all. I understand what you're saying. Of course Wang is to blame for alot but I'm sick of the it's not Snow's fault because of Wang argument. Most of it is conjecture. The guy has zero accountability because some fans just blame Wang. "We can't know how good a job Snow is doing because of Wang". Snow is responsible just as much for the circus this club is. I'm not arguing with you in any way. i understand your position on this. Just stating that i hate when some people give Snow a pass on everything that he does or doesn't do. The guy is not a good GM and continues to prove that FACT. The only people that think he is doing a good job are the few people on here which in turn would make you question their knowledge of the sport. I have never met anyone or heard anyone else say he is doing a comendable job besides the 3 or 4 guys(or girls?) on here. That's referring to my friends, family, hundreds of people I talked to about this sh!t, work, and most importantly people that work within the orginization. People that work for Wang and Snow. The guy is a terrible GM. Doesn't matter what the reason is. Someone should be put into that position who is capable of the job. He is not. Again, not arguing with you

WHERE in that statement does it say he is going to acquire anyone?? All he is saying is that the team is stocked enough with prospects at all positions (yes i know all wont make it & not all are even NHL talent, but we now have depth at all positions to make a trade) So if a trade comes along he can make it, or at least put together a comparable offer to what is being offered.

This again is where reading comprehension comes into play.. seek help... R.I.F.

Snow :“All options are on the table,” If we can move prospects to get a player that is going to come in and going to help us and get us where we want to be, we’re going to make that move. It’s a situation where we’ve gone through a rebuild, we have one of the best prospect pools in the NHL, so now it’s an easier decision for me to make moves to get us help immediately “

What moves were made???? Visnovsky was aquired for a 2nd round pick. What help was made immediately? When the ticket brokers call for the renewal the last 3 years they've all said the same thing. Garth Snow is going to bring in help for this team to take the next step. Garth himself said he has the prospects to make a move. How about he take the initiative and make one, instead of sitting on his @ss hoping that one comes his way........as it stands right now, they are not going to compete in their division....

What Snow is doing, is just aquiring...........he's aquired draft picks and waiver pick ups. How many prospects does this team need? At some point, he MUST decide who is for this team going forward, and who is not. Once he decides that, he should then make moves. He hasn't........he just keeps adding and adding.

No it doesnt, the fact that Wisharts on waivers today does...

Some players had to be put on waivers so they're eligible to play in the minors during the lockout. Means nothing.

Im very aware of that, but being on waivers any team can pick them off waivers, so, it does in fact mean something! It means the isles didnt feel enough of said "prospect", that they put them on waivers....

Snow is playing puppet to a certain degree, for sure. But, he does have the ability and the assets to make a trade for an impact player. Whatever his reason is, i personally feel he's not willing to stick his neck out just yet.

The last major move he made was Ryan Smyth........he was able to do so under the guise that those werent "HIS" picks, and was able to clean house. If he makes a move like that now, whereby he's trading away "HIS" prospects, and it doesnt work........he has no excuse.

That's a ridiculous reason if that is the case. Part of the job is taking calculated risks obviously. I actually thought the Smyth trade was one of the very few shining moments Snow has had since being GM. That was a ballsy trade even though we didn't retain him it still showed he was trying to improve the on ice product. Since then not so much...

my take is this, snow has aquired enough players on the cheap, enough draft picks that some might be good, and some wont. my problem with Snow is his over-value of this roster and players that are on the team are just not that good to be relied upon.
my belief is bc Wang is not getting what he wants from the county, reflects in the neglect of the team or lack of progress to do so
