Well no not really, he's tucked his tail between his legs and gone back to the KHL pretty quick. I think a players attitude is huge in making them an NHL player or not. Omark and Radulov do not seem to possess the right one for the NHL.

I agree with you about both Omark and Radulov and we've seen with Daigle even. Being willing to be coached, take critical advice and put in the work both on and off the ice is just as vital to being an NHL'er as the physical tools.

Well his refusal to play in the AHL for starters would be a good example of his poor attitude, talent and skill wise, i agree with you, he is NHL caliber in those departments, just seems to get knocked off the puck a lil too easy and from when i have watched him against other NHLers, just didn't seem to have the heart and effort to make his skills stand out.

I am not convinced that tambellini has been trying to deal anything this summer. I am not lying. I think he saw the lockout and signed everyone that he could without any trouble or real dollar figure to the team.

I also think with the way the team has played the last 3 years we didn't get to see anyone's potential that started in this time period. I think Omark is one of them. Just like Paajarvi, their best hockey in the NHL hasn't been played yet. I would have liked to see another rookie that we have had for 5-6 years and truly is stagnant go, rather than Omark. Maybe that scout's head that turns will be the Oilers and the new GM will make amends.

Down low he got pushed off of it way too easy, he's to small to be effective down low, RNH seems to bounce off and spin off defenders and make plays, omark didnt seem to be able to capture that type of magic in the NHL, I am sure in europe where they dont play the same physical game, he will thrive.

I thought he played well in his limited NHL action. The deficiencies in his game are the kind that work themselves out as you gain experience.

I feel for Omark, I do. The guy knows he's too talented for the AHL. He also didn't think he deserved to be cut. Any athlete understands such hardships.

However, that's not how the pro-game works in any sport, and it certainly doesn't work in hockey. You have to earn your time. Omark comes off as the kind of player who's willing to do what it takes, but to an extent. When it comes down to going that extra mile and giving 100%, Omark's only giving you 90%-95% consistently. Every team has a player like this though, some have two. Most of you know I'm a Flyers fan. We had two for quite awhile. Their names were Jeff Carter and Joni Pitkanen.

However, I still firmly believed Omark was mismanaged in EDM. This is based entirely off of on-ice play. I have no idea what, if any, internal issues played into his handling.

I know from what I saw on the ice, Omark's ice time wasn't managed properly nor were his benchings/demotions. Plain and simple.

The fact that Omark wasn't picked up says nothing to me. It just means no team is ready to take a chance on him at this present time. And can you honestly blame them? Whether his benchings, limited TOI, etc were fair or not, being in and out of the doghouse on the last place team in the league and having somewhat of an "attitude" towards the whole thing doesn't really sway anything positive in your favor.
