I didn't say a team wanted him or any team in particular should take him. I said he is an NHL player and could succeed with a better opportunity. That opportunity has not presented itself. Comprende?

The fact that no one offered anything for him to the Oil, like even a 3rd or later round pick or even a bag of pucks or 50 bucks or something, kind of does say that other teams didn't want him or wouldn't make room for him.
