Next time save yourself 5 minutes and realize this. PA was going to go for the most possible money, period. He could be playing with Richard Park and Jon Sim in Colorado..........who cares.......the kid got paid. BOTTOM LINE - kindlyrick
i 100% agree with you....im gonna deflect this comment to cptjml direction.... |

Dude I actually think he agrees with you and likes to get a high off of you flipping out. You keep going back at him and he is sitting there laughing his arse off - kasperrko

This discussion has made a left turn somewhere, and noone signaled. The fact is yes Garth is the GM, and no he shouldnt not take the job because he was under qualified. The discussion earlier on was his management skills thus far. I dont wanna hear what he's drafted in the top 5 for the last 5 years, because its not hard to find talent in the top 5. The discussion was his ability or shall i say inability to find another way to put forth a winning team. He himself said he now has assets to make a trade, yet the only trade he's made was a draft pick for a guy with a NTC. At some point a real GM has to put together a puzzle and figure out who in his system fits that puzzle, and who does not........thats where the skill is. Its not about holding on to every single piece.....thats just called hoarding. - kindlyrick
Exactly. HE changed the topic because HE was wrong. Same sh!t he always does. |

The truth is, Garth will continue to keep adding and adding until 2015. Thats when he's gonna make that Ryan Smyth type trade. Until then, he's gonna keep things status quo - kindlyrick
Thats the new date? Every year everyone on here says next year he has to do something. He has to make a trade. Now he has a pass till 2015 because that's the arena deadline? What happened to the last two years where he had to do something make a trade etc? Everyone has thrown in the towel this year till then? |

Also dont forget, him actually making a serious trade means he's putting "HIS" brush stroke on this painting. He doesnt wanna do that..........if Garths playing baseball and strikes out but doesnt swing, he can always say "Hey I didnt see the pitch i liked" Thats his out..... - kindlyrick[/quote]
OR he doesn't really need an out with half the people on here. He is not responsible for anything as GM. How many times have you heard that on here? |

i dont get why everyone is such a Snow Hater.
He has rebuilt our farm system. Traded away all the milbury garbage with exception of DP who is untradeable.
Snow signs Tavares, KO, Grabner to better deals than most other players are getting way more.
Hamonic was great find. As as Matt Martin, Donovan, Ullstrom and Poulin all from the Bailey draft.
Strome, Nino, Kabonov, Petrov and Cizakis all could impact players in NHL in few years.
Moulson, Grabner and Streit were all excellent finds. as was PA. Good discipline for not overpaying PA, whose stats will drop as did jason blakes.
The same year we got Bailey. the target guys by all fans on this Message board was Filatov or Schenn. It was not Eberle, karlson or Myers as some of you love to suggest now. - Spartiarti
Give anybody in here top picks in every round for 5 years and we can replenish a farm system adequately

You are 100% correct, No one seems to get that on here. I have been saying that for a while. - kasperrko
Most people on here realize that an arena deal has to be figured out before Wang hands out any money.
That's not Garths fault.
He started a rebuild with nothing, and filled the organization with prospects.
Maybe not the hardest thing to do...
If you want to blame somebody... blame Wang, the politics on Long Island, and the people that voted against the new project.
Does Garth need to make a move to make the team better... I think everybody agrees he does.
To say he has done nothing is crazy.
He doesn't have the same money other GM's have to spend. |

You're STILL phucking going with the Shremp cocktail thing........its unreal to me. Nevermind the fact that 30 NHL teams said no thanks to play center at any of the 4 lines........he's still a "player". For those of us who have played the game, guys like Rob Shremp get smashed for pulling that dipsy do bull sh1t. He's a practice player who has no concept of team play. Those AHL all star moves arent impressive at the NHL level, hence he is not playing at the NHL level.
As for Viznovsky.........hmmmmm lets see. He filed a grievance because he had a NTC clause. Its just on principle.......he really has nothing against the isles. He just wanted to make sure the rest of the NHLPA doesnt get hurt with the same misunderstanding. - kindlyrick
YOU brought it up!!

He still has to reach the floor which at times has been as much as twelve milluion dollars or more that he HAD to spend. He spent it on Rolston, Pandawful, Staios and Jurcina. |

Most on here do. Every year is the year that Snow HAS to do something to reach the floor. He has to spend 12 mil to reach it. Why spend it on garbage? He then goes and spends it on garbage. Your answer to this is it's Wang's fault? |
