Also allows you to spend most of your day on the throne as opposed to at a desk.

Oh Mikey,

"Bluff"?

The best goaltender on the market, with the highest career save % in the NHL, one of the highest since they started keeping the stat.

3 time Vezina nominee. Jennings winner. One of only 10 goalies with 6 straight 30+ wins with one team.

There aint no bluffing here. He gets a good deal or goes to the other guy.

I am enjoying folks from back East running the guy down every chance they get though.

Carry on...

From back East?? Ever hear what Alberta hockey fans have to say about Luongo?? The opinions on Luongo are consistent outside of B.C. -- it's not exclusive to us douche bags "back East".

dont even bother.. there is a faction of nucks fans that just dont get it (not all of them, many have reasonable expectations)

but there is a few who

A: they call their backup goalie all star when it suits them

but

B: during actual game play they want him on the bench

its hilarious that they dont see the irony in that

His post is wrong anyway, from what I recall. I don't think Luongo has the best sv% in the NHL of active goalies.

he was ranked 25th last year

13th if you discount all the goalies who played less than 30 games

It's as if they have memory erase of every under whelming game he's played when there is something significant on the line. And that is to say nothing of the 10 Years left.

I think he’s saying highest career sv% of all active goalies.

But, depending on what you use as your minimum games played, Lundqvist and Rinne definitely rank in ahead of him, and Tuuka Rask, if you use a 100 game minimum, he barely makes it.

he's top 5 tho right?

lets see here:

this is only factoring in goalies with 30 games or more:

Wins: 14th
Losses: 11th (counting from least to most)
GA: 15th
GAA: 15th
Sv: 16th
Sv%: 12th
SO: tied for 10th

and these are his stats while playing on a presidents trophy winning team...

wow huh? look at all them top 5 finishes... i'm awe struck.

he isnt as good as people make him out to be.. plain and simple

did he ever take florida to the post season? no .. and i am sorry.. there was some decent teams in florida.

the only time he has ever thrived was in vancouver on a stacked team.. same can be said about team canada

i'm not a huge luongo fan.. never have been

Ya, I certainly don't want those stats or that contract on our bottom feeder team. I would rather just wait out this loooong storm and hope our prospect selection improves.

Still better numbers for any goalie the Leafs have had for the last decade and better than any goalie available.

Five years left, low acquiring cost, higher than average cap hit, with a career .920. I'll take it.
