Finn does block shots. He's a very strong defensive player, who has some strength and footwork issues.
He's a pole, and gets outmuscled pretty easy so far. And he stops moving his feet and gets blown past to the outside. But yea, he's the type to play a shutdown role, block shots, use his stick to deflect pucks, etc. - Brian Huddle
who do you think will surprise in the OHL this year Huddle? |

Teams?
Erie.
From awful to decent. McDavid's rookie year. A full season with Fox, Olden should be more comfortable and they actually got Dansk to sign. |

Gillis making Luongo sit and watch Schneider may make him expand his list of teams beyond Florida? - LeftCoaster
And having a $6M backup just sit there may make Gillis do whatever he can to get rid of him. |

The core was draft eligibles last year, so they're on the up-and-up. Will be interesting to see how Jordan Subban does next year as it's his draft year. He's a likely 1st rounder, and the most "gifted/talented" of the three brothers. |

This is where the typical fan says he's not a bruising dman, he defends more like Lidstrom. |

Nazem needs to play. And not get sent down if hes not a point per game in his first 15-20 games. Start him on the 3rd line, or even let him centre the 1st line. He's a natural centre,he centred Hall on the Canada junior team for (frank) sakes. But since that won't happen
Lupul Bozak Kessel
JVR Grabovski Kulemin
MacArthur McClement Kadri
Brown Steckel Connolly
Lombardi Komarov
Frattin out til at least November. He'll make things interesting when he gets back |

When you typed that out...where in the process did you figure Kadri could be a point per game player on the 3rd line playing with Lombardi and Steckel?

actually i'd switch kadri and kulemin
and you know what sucks? there doesnt seem to be a spot for Frattin.
i'm going to guess that kadri and frattin battle it out for that second line right wing slot. |

I didn't. I said stop sending him down because he's not a point per game player. He plays 12 games and gets 5 points and its like "he's terrible, he's not ready!" Even though he's drawn 2 penalties and been the most creative guy on the ice all game |

I've never been one for gifting players with slots in the lineup, but if we really want to see what Kadri can do in a more offensive role, they need to play him there. If that means playing him on the wing instead of centre, so be it. He gets a lot of criticism for not playing a role well that he was not even purported to be good at in the first place. |

It's amazing how the Leafs can have far too little talent, and yet not enough space for guys.
Connolly will not be below McClement.
I'm going to guess Kulemin starts on the 3rd line.
Steckel is probably going to be the odd man out with McClement in the line-up.
And if the current CBA negotiations take a turn for the worse (almost a certainty), I wouldn't be surprised if Komarov stays in Europe for the year. Although I think he would be much better served playing in the A.

The problem is Kadri is always the victim of teh numbers game. He'll go down cause Frattin has to clear waivers now |
