Would you guys do Luongo for Gardiner, Franson + 1st?

Leafs need Luongo Badly... So I guess his value is Gardiner, Franson plus first.

Not interested in raymond in the LEast and your 1st probably pretty high, but I'd probably still do it..... Ashton for Lou, Ballard and a 1st (you can keep Raymond).

This is correct. The player isn't the question, the contract is.

What would also be correct is saying that the Canucks need to unload Luongo badly.

Quite the conundrum.

IMO, what would be fair is Luongo and his contract for Komis contract and a good prospect or Franson, with maybe a defensive contract coming back to Toronto if the Canucks are looking to dump and Toronto needs to fill a hole on the back end.

Sure they need Luongo badly, but they also need Doan badly. What they also badly need is to avoid the contracts that come with those players. Especially with CBA uncertainty.

I agree with the first part. BUT...Luongo's being a very good player and Komisarek being a bad player is not off-set by Franson, there has to be more coming back to Vancouver in that scenario.

Unrealistic anyways, Gillis will never accept a player like Komi. He's a pig headed SOB and he's been stung once already when he acquired Ballard, he won't do it again.

I wonder if Mr. Augello will blog about the impending renovations to the Maple Leafs' dressing room?

I was gonna add that it would make for a nice heated debate with the Sabre fans.

Yea, cant want see them wanting or taking Komi. Just throwing names out there more than anything. Point is, the contract being as bad as it is off sets Luongos ability on the ice.

With the CBA uncertainty, no matter how good Luongo is, a 10 year contract and commitment should mean Vancouver taking some money back in some form.

Problem is, looking around the league, there are only about 3-4 teams who would want/need to AND can afford (cap & team budget) to take on Luongo.

Lost my dad a year and a half ago to cancer. I just cant find any humour after watching him die slowly right in front of my families eyes. I can find humour in most things, cancer is just not one of them.

Most things in life can be laughed off, or worked around with a good sense of humour. Sometimes, its just better to be respectful of something this serious that effects everyone at one time or another, because not everyone handles things in such a light or joking matter. For many, the mere mention of cancer brings with it a flood of painful and emotional feelings. Joke, if you must, privately. Dont do it publicly. Thats just plain stupid and ignorant.

As I sit here, im trying to find where the jokes and lols fit into the suffering my poor dad went through before he just couldnt fight to stay alive anymore. Sorry man, theres a time to joke and a time to be respectful. When maturity finally hits, you'll make the right choice im sure.

I don't even think its three teams. Making it near impossible to engineer a winning trade.

And really, is there a single trade you can name that Gillis has won yet?
