Whats the asking price for Jay-Bo? Any word in Calgary about what they want?
- stveshdy

I don't think they want to trade him.

Yup, couldn't get Crossman out of the lineup for nuthin' . Played his 78 to 80 games each and every year.

I still have my irrational dislike of him. It's only been 25 years or so

Too much. The only card the Flames hold is the fact they don't have to trade him unless the return is worth it. Rumour has it Calgary was asking for Cour and I know thats a non starter from Philly's side.

Also heard St. Louis wants him but Calgary has asked for Rattie to be part of the deal, again a non starter for the Blues.

Dailey was a beast. I remember him as a big, heavily bearded wildman.

All those injuries, and Doug Crossman never got hurt. Damned pansy

I was just getting into hockey and the Flyers in 82-83. Daily was right before my time. Suprised I never knew his story.

Thanks Bill

Yep. The Flyers wouldn't even listen to including Couturier or Brayden Schenn for Shea Weber...not doing it for Jay Bouw

I would have given one of the two up for Weber. I wouldn't give up either for Ryan.

At that price he will stay put. Can't blame Calgary for trying though. Like you said they don't have to deal him.

Weber is the best so we all know what the Flyers must think of Schenn and Couturier. However, Nashville probably was asking for both.

They Flyers never offered more than Voracek or Reed, plus picks and prospects. Even if Nashville asked for both the Flyers never came close to ofering one or the other.

That's insane. I would definately offer one to get Weber.

Nashville would be stupid to not get one in return in a Weber trade.

Although I like the offer sheet route the Flyers took. Either match or dont. I can live with that.

I THINK...I may have offered both if Nashville sent a prospect back. I say...may have....

But, alas, it will never be....

You would expect back more than just Weber, correct? What level prospect?

One of their higher level defensive prospects perhaps. Or even a roster ready forward. Like i said, it would have to be a pretty hard sell to send them both...but its Weber....

Thats a move I would have no problems with. Getting a 26 year old Weber in his prime (whos probably best d-man in the league).

I think the potential for Couturier and Schenn is very high. They could become stars in this league or just your above average role players. Will find out over time but hopefully they reach that potential.

I doubt either one of them will be as important to a team in the way the best defenseman in the league is.

Can't argue that at all.
