Stupidest thing ever, if a city cant support a team MOVE THE (frank)ING TEAM! Or get rid of a few teams so the players know you are serious. Are the players really this dumb...there are teams that wont survive a lockout. Owners actually have real world skills and education not to mention billions in the bank. Most players would be flipping burgers if they couldn't play a kids game for money

very likely and even more realistic!!

while towns like phoenix, tampa, los angeles, miami all have big populations, the reason sports dont do so well there is because it is towns full of transplants. also the weather is beautiful so people would rather be out doing anything outside rather than go to a game. i think the reason why these markets are still kept is because the players love living in these areas.

the only 2 markets that never made any sense to me was atlanta and columbus.....im on the fence bout nashville, it kinda seems like they are coming around.

For Atlanta, Ted Turner wanted a team. He said he would put the games on TBS.

It was a no-brainer for the league.

Yes, it didn't work out, but anyone saying they shouldn't have been awarded a franchise is merely using 20/20 hindsight.

Julie Stewart-Binks ‏@JSB_CTV

According to inside sources, Evander Kane has asked for a trade for a trade from the Winnipeg Jets. Wants to be face of franchise...

- FLYERSROCK!

So he want to play for a team that has less established star power then Winnipeg?
