1) Just a month from training camp, and the hard questions haven't had to be answered. Does Scott Gomez need to be dealt with before a new CBA is in place?

Could the Canadiens even be considering having Gomez at training camp?

Gomez will come back and have a decent season. I say he'll put up a 20-20 season. Still not worth what he is being paid but......


2) What are reasonable expectations for Brian Gionta this season? Can he rebound from this brutal injury and put up his best season as a Canadien?

It is reasonable to send him back to the New Jersey Devils. I say the Gionta experiment is over in Montreal. Just a hanger-on from the Gainey days. No real value. IMO

4) If Cole took a step back to where his career average is (around 25 goals) would anyone really be disappointed?

I like Cole. Besides, he deserves a lot of the credit for what Pacioretty did last season. He has turned out to be a great mentor. 25 goals is fine.


8) Gomez is one problem. Kaberle is the other. What are the Canadiens going to do with him?

Trade him to the Leafs for Komisarek. At least this way Montreal would pick up some more grit on the back end and the contract is similar.

9) If you had to pick a kid off the farm that you believe is ready to make the jump, who is it?

Leblanc....he has been a real question mark since he was drafted. He has a lot to prove to show he deserved to be a first round pick. I say he makes the team and puts up 15g, 20a. Even just at 21 years old, it's now or never.
