I'd rather fight first and then have beers with 'nutters.

That's fine Luc, for revenue purposes that works better.

Knowing crims and T'zer are last would have the beer gardens packed.

Seems like the owners just want to take. Like last time.

Not so sure the rich teams have any interest in revenue sharing.

only 3-4 teams would end up dishing out most of the cash, this won't fly. TV revenues are too small to make a big impact, can't apply the NFL/MLB/NBA formula.

Of course...nobody wants to be the first one to move from their position....this will drag on for a while. Players are better prepared with Fehr...he will keep them united for a while.
- Symba007

We're gonna see some teams move/fold if the lock out is lengthy.

As stupid as the owners are, they will win in the end.

I think Fehr will make it worse for the players.

If I owned a team, you ain't gonna tell me how much of my profit you want, sorry.

Still a lot of players that remember the last lockout. They stayed out on principle and end up folding like a cheap shirt. Owners are banking on Bettman staying the course. It worked before and the league is arguably in better shape now than ever.

Agreed, owners are in it for the long term, most players short term.

And guess what Luc?

These 19 to 26 year olds need that cash, they've become used to it and need it.

The older guys would like to hold out, cash is in the bank. But their talent isn't...

Think about all those 4th liner and 6th-7th D that have a 3-4 years career at best....they REALLY don't want a lockout.

Absolutely. Solidarity only goes so far when it comes to that much cash. You have 30 governors vs. 700+ players. Much easier to control and stay the course for 30 guys and keep them united.

So suggesting to my wife that she should change her pad because the one she had on was making her uncomfortable was a really bad idea.
