Shouldn't the Q be used to develop Q-beckers?

Exactly what I was thinking. They want to run it like a business, then get ready to pay the players. It's as simple as that.

You want to pay high school kids like they are pros?

Wouldn't that lead to more junior players to not even bother finishing school?

Obviously.

It's still nice to see stars from other countries compete in the league though.

Elevates the level of hockey.

Well the thing is, at some point, the parents should be responsible for their kids and make sure they get a proper education. And I'm not talking about paying them 70K per year, just that $120 per month is kind of ridiculous.

Plus, most kids their age work part time or full time while going to school. That doesn't prevent them from finishing school.
Hockey players can't have a job. They're too busy playing hockey, helping their owners making lots of money.

And that's the problem. It isn't a real development league like in the US. They want to run this league like a mini-NHL, with 70 games everywhere in Quebec, cashing in without giving the players their fair share.

They don't have any expenses other then spending money, so how much do they need?

Their parents/billets probably give them an allowance on top of that.

How much allowance would you give to your kids when they are 15-18?

what's min. wage now adays? 10 bucks?

So 10 bucks an hour for say 10-12 hours a week, should cover it.
