again... I am not trying to be a d!ck.. but if that is the case than why hasn't Kadri's game transitioned into the NHL yet... Hodgson was mentioned in rookie of the year talk last year before being traded to Buffalo.. i agree that Hodgson is not my 1C of the future choice that I would want.. - JVince11
Because Kadri can't put it together, or hasn't yet and likely never will, for a number of reasons. Size, heart, grit, willingness to learn/be coached, humility, on-ice chemistry with other players, etc. are all characteristics that help determine whether a hockey player can stick and perform at the highest level, but aren't necessarily connected with talent. For example, I think you'd agree that Linus Omark has more talent than Mike Brown, but who would you rather have on your team? |

Good point . We have had our share of players with the similar mind set. Seems some players are all for the comitment of being a full time hockey player at 17-19 . But they finally grow up and realize that they don't have the determination to be that type of person . So they seem to just go through the motions and collect that check . |

I understand your point.. but I just don't see how it is argued... Sure Chris Weinke and Danny Wuerffel were great Heisman Winning QBs in College Football but neither one could hold the water boy's jock strap in the NFL. Any of the reasons you listed above could have been the reason why. Tom Brady was what a 6th round pick and a back up for most of his career and now he is arguably the 2nd or 3rd best QB in the NFL today and didn't come into the NFL with the accolades of Wuerffel or Weinke but what matters is what is done in the Pros.
If the guy can't put it together in the pros... he is just another very high first round bust. Talent in the minors vs talent in the pros are two different things. |

If you re-read my post you'd see that I said based on the play I've seen both at the OHL and the NHL level. Kadri is as skilled as they come and has shown it at the NHL level (in small bursts a la Rob Schremp), but he hasn't been able to keep it together with any level of consistency. |

Well he must be extremely inconsistent then... he hasn't shown anything in the NHL to make you think that he has been worth his 7th overall choice...
he can blow up the AHL and OHL all he wants but unless he can translate that game into the NHL... it really doesn't matter..
Look at Keith Aucoin's stats and come back... |

No, actually he has scored a few beauts that would be consistent with a 7th overall pick breaking into the league. They've just been few and far between.

Holy crap, really? That's pretty ballsy to say that. He'll get crucified if neither happens, which is very possible. |

gibbs111 well gagner will be on the roster by the home opener. What would you like to bet?
This was his response when I asked him what he would bet it happening.
Wanted to gauge his confidence in his "source" |

I've been talking to him daily on twitter he actually does seem like a cool guy with legit info, obviously we won't know if it's legit until something actually happens but he stands by his source 100% and we've had some good hockey conversations. |

I think that he took it the wrong way when I asked him what he would bet. I wasn't trying to question him just wanted to gauge his confidence of the trade actually happening. Must say, he has me wondering. |

I'm as skeptical as a lotta people are about false info on twitter but between sabres front office and another guy puck rumorrs they both are saying Gagner to Buffalo is only a matter of time. Puck Rumorrs told me he's 95% sure from a good source, thats quite a bold statement. |

He actually told me the position of his source, he obviously wouldn't give any names nor would I expect him to but he has been very straight forward.

Hodgson won't be a number 1 center, even though he works out with God himself the guy is slow like a Giant Sea turtle and he doesn't play hard. Ennis plays hard every shift and he doesn't work out with Jesus. |

Has he had anything right yet? Did he have info on the Ott/Roy trade? Or did he pop up after that trade? |
