Close but if Im his agent I'd want more. I'd do 4y @ 6m that seems fair. He's too high risk for longer term I'd rather higher cap hit. Would love that deal if he can put 65+ points this year, or atleast that PPG if we have hockey.

I'm not saying give him that now, I wouldn't extend Lupul in the off-season. If he can repeat last season or atleast have a similar season then I'd offer him that before the trade deadline. Then depending on how the team is doing extend him or trade.

I'm sure his production will take a hit from Carlyle but if he can stay healthy he should be good for 60+, well see.

He would probably get it on the open market. That's the point.

Burke will likely want to extend him to a 2 yr/3yr contract max. with his injury history.

He has not been healthy for a full year yet, it's really hard to lock him in that long in a leaf sweater, I would imagine they have talked about it already or something is in the works.

My Lupul jersey says PLEASE KEEP HIM and my logical mind says like Prince says under 6 for 3 years, if it works out great we offer him more money later.
