I hope you are right. I would love to see the sports channels pick up SEL, KHL and AHL if there is a lockout. Follow the players.

They'll pick some AHL up, but I doubt the KHL and SEL get picked up. They play at odd ball times and the networks probably make more money showing dog shows and darts.

Don't need to play the games live, I'd watch if SN West was playing games that Hall/Ebs were in. I bet they could get a lot of viewers in Alberta.

I also laughed at the Defensive rating of the Oilers. Okay, less of a margin to choose with ratings out of 5 as opposed to 100, but they should have had a 3.5 based on last year at best...not the 2nd highest rating possible.

Part of the problem is that they don't factor injuries into the rankings. Obviously Whitney healthy and playing 25 minutes a night as he does in video game land makes the Oilers D look far better than in would. Still not a 4.5 though. Heck, the average of the top 7 guys listed is a 79, or just under 4 out of 5.

He already moved his entire family over here? I read in this blog that he's said to be looking for a house in the EDM area. So you're saying he currently has his mom, dad, little sis, and dog shacked up at the Motel 6 while he's out house hunting? Don't count your eggs before they hatch because I would put my money on the current NHL labour situation changing that plan at least for the foreseeable future. Would you buy a house and move your family into it when chances are you won't be playing hockey in that city at least for the start of the upcoming season, or would you wait and see how things play out?
