well considering the isles made a trade for a significant upgrade on defense 3 months ago and for all intents and purposes had a top 2 pairing defenseman spot locked up going into this season, to then find out the ducks traded a player they werent authorized to trade. if the trade is in fact rescinded, id think, being that the isles lost out on 3 months of free agency and trading, theyd get something other than the obvious 2nd round pick it took them to get visnovsky

Considering you said the exact same thing before doesn't mean its correct.
It would be comparable to trying to get a FA to sign with your club (Doan) and you're putting all your eggs in one basket, to find out he decides to sign somewhere else...
Plus, it's not Anaheim's fault that Vish left it this long to appeal...why didn't he say something at or just after the draft?

your analogy is no where close to what happened. The Visnovsky deal was done; he was islanders property. than they found out he might have an NTC. a free agent is FREE to sign with anyone, how its comparable to this is beside me.

From what I have heard, I guess the Ducks thought that the NTC had been lifted when he came to Anaheim...but you are right that is negligent on their behalf...
I still don't get why Vish didn't say something as soon as the trade went down, or shortly after the draft...like why now?
