First, my point of points vs. $$$ was in reference to Larry Brooks always painting a rosy red picture of the rangers and how everything he says about the Isles is 100% spot-on and deserved. In short, the rangers spend like drunken sailors and don't get called out on it. Those 3 players are overpaid and overvalued. JT & Moulson will outscore the top two ranger point leaders next year. Their combined salaries is about the same of either Gabo, Nash or Richards' individual salary. Can we agree on that?

Second, opinions are always welcomed.
Unfortunately, I don't share the same one with you. But that's what gives us something to talk about.

40-50 goals for Nash? How do you see that? That's absurd.
He is not the "go-to guy" on this team. He will also be competing for the puck between two other very talented forwards.

Goaltending in the Atlantic is as good as it gets. So, scoring in this division will not be any easier.
Last, he only had 40 goals once. His best season '08-'09. He's been on a steady point decline since. It's not like Martin Straka getting put on a line with Jagr & Lemieux.

We can agree to disagree........hopefully there's a season and we can have what to talk about. I think that Rick Nash is a top 10 player in the league. He was on a team in Columbus without EVER having a top tier linemate. Gaborik and Richards are great players, but Rick Nash is a special player. He will score 40 plus goals this season........i'd bet money on it. If you're serious and you want action on that, message me privately.

As for overspending..........yeah the Rangers absolutely over spend. But, thats why they aquire top players in the league. The islanders on the other hand only shop on the sale rack.

This is a special player...........dont let his years in Columbus fool you. Not many guys in the league can dangle like that.

Actually Nash scored at least 40 goals twice. He scored 41 back in 2003-2004 securing a tie for the rocket richard trophy with kovalchuk and iginla. And all those years in Columbus he didn't have a top end center to set him up. Jeff Carter was apparently gonna be that guy but that failed since he forced his way out of columbus. Nash is gonna be around talented players for the 1st time in his NHL career. He's gonna be the guy since gaborik is out till like december or january. So to say him scoring 40-50 goals is absurd is flat out stupid on your part. 50 might be a stretch, but he could hit 40+ goals on the rangers if him and richards develop great chemistry. Hell he will light up the scoreboard against us if dp is in net.

Gaborik Richards and Nash are going to win the stanley cup for the NY Rangers. The one weakness last year was a lefty shot on the right side of the PP. Nash fills that void, and we all know special teams wins games........watch and see!

I dont know, his life is just starting & he's already f'ing it up. He thought he was going to be the big man on campus & he may be in a cell right now. How is he gonna explain this to his parents that no doubt paid for him to be there. his 1st day in college and it might be his last..... sucks to be him.

We really got nothing to talk about til sept 4th. Viz on this team is difference between us being competitive and fighting for and 8 spot or or isles hoping they get the first pick in 2013 draft.

Viz and streit could very make up on of the better pp points in the league.

Huh? I just find it funny how you can judge somebody without knowing a single thing about the person other then he likes to smoke pot. But this is a hockey board so we'll keep it to hockey

I didn't judge him.... I didn't call him a bad person, or condemn him... but you keep reading into things.
