Its just a game guys. I'm sure it will be worked out. If its that bad just go to the player customization thing and make them better... It all depends on how you play as them.

I don't usually play sports video games too often. I pay the 60 dollars like an idiot and play it 10 or so times and it sits there till I trade it in for like 8 bucks. They just get too repetitive to me. I hope this one is different.

Seriously, whatever the case may be with certain stats influencing the overall more, the players should still have overalls that are better than their counterparts.

Age shouldn't matter for overall, it should matter for potential though. Elias can be a 87 D, but him being an 82 and guys like Dubinsky being 83 is hysterical, it goes for plenty of guys around the league.

Contrary to popular belief opinions can be wrong. Yeah, you're entitled to have them but it's not some kind of "let's leave it at that" thing.

my opinion: i feel Statsny is currently better than the current version of Elias (all round). move on or keep telling me i'm wrong life will go on!

Do you watch devils games? Care to tell me what position elias played last season? And I don't watch a whole lot of avs games. But the few I do, I am not blown away with Stastny as a shutdown center like Elias. That's also with Stastny going up against much lower quality of competition. Stastny also logged all of 37 seconds a game of PK time. Elias logged 1:46 on the best PK in league history.

im definetly a devils fan and an Avs fan and have been watching both play for a very long time, nevertheless i got it, you say Elias is better player, thats cool! i dont have a problem with that, and yes i already pointed out earlier that Elias did not play his natural position and he did a great job so good on him as well .....back to the game and its ratings

one thing that i do know is that in the game Paul Statsny definetly plays better than elias

Statsny is nowhere near as good as Elias is now, or at least if you want to look at his last season. Consistently playing against top competition (look at the advanced statistics), Elias had one of the best seasons in his career playing alongside Petr Sykora and Dainius Zubrus. Neither had more than 45 points. If that doesn't speak volumes, than I don't know what does.

I said it was pretty baseless, and he's proven me right there. So far he hasn't shown anything as to why stastny is better.

ur right Statsny hasnt been the same since his injury a few years back, but he'll be back in 70+ form the Avs are getting better, last year there's no question Elias was the better player last year but one player is going one way and the other is going another Elias has 5 seasons of 70+ Statsny already has 3

with that being said i still think Statsny's the better player right now...i dont believe elias is gonna repeat or ever reach those numbers again but i guess we'll see there's always Teemu.....but Elias is not Teemu...

anyways who knows maybe when they update the rosters elias will be back at 86-87 like he probably should be since it makes no sense for them to give him a lower rating with a better season behind him

You've obviously commented on this for the last half and hour or so, so you definitely have the time to delve deeper and try to prove it. Elias is better than Statsny, Statsny is totally overrated and overpaid.

no i mean those sites are blocked lol and it still doesnt mean i'd care to keep up a pointless convo, i hope another 5 ppl tell me Elias is currently better! like i said time to kill!

oh and to say a guy who's never put up less than 53 points in a full season is overrated....is surprising but ok

He is overrated. People think he is a lot better than he actually is. That is what overrated means.

With the amount of money they make and put into the game, it shouldn't be that difficult to get the input of a beat writer or someone else who is intelligent and close to a specific team.
- Nucker101

Exactly. Give player comparisons for each overall rating and each type of player for each of the major beat writers for a specific team or someone with good hockey knowledge about specific teams, then average them out and take the obvious outliers out of the picture.

In every NHL game there will be ratings people will not like, I think that some of the ratings are not the best, but they can always be changed, just don't make people have a 99 rating.

How is Crosby 95 and Malkin just 91? Malkin is better. And if he isn't, he's not that far off. These rankings suck for every team. I wonder what Kessel is ranked.

I dont understand why people get so butt hurt by EA ratings... its just a game. These characters are as good as your skills are in the game. Just because Elias is an 82 doesnt mean hes gonna suck in the game unless you dont know how to play and you suck.

I wonder if they accounted for the Devil's bankruptcy in the game. I bet they have the Nordiques as second Jerseys for them
