Whenever I hear about a trade then I know it must be a completely made up rumor with no basis. No one was talking about Hodgson, no one was talking Dallas with Roy, those were never even rumors and they actually happened.

I have never heard of one of these rumors that are actually true, and you would think with so many of them out there one would come true just on the probabilities of so many guesses and only so many possibilities, you would figure at least 1 % would be correct just out of luck, but I don't even see that.

I agree that most if not all twitter guys are full of crap, but it's not Darcy who could be spewing the Sabres thinking. There are others who work for the Sabres who might discuss what the Sabres are thinking over a beer or 10. Ask Homie, he's not talking directly to Darcy. Buffalo's a small town. There are fewer degrees of seperation.

Not to mention there are people who work for the NHL, and the other team/teams whom the Sabres are talking trade with that could spread trade talk as well. There are player agents that could have info and are sources too
