#Oilers close to trading Gagner +3rd to #Sabres for Sekera & Adam. Also possible Leopold instead of Sekera. Expect deal done within a week.

I dont understand why everyone wants to be done with adam. this is the same kid that was our #1 Center at the beginning of the year before ruff tossed him to the 4th line because of his defensive play. if your playing on line 1, let alone centering it, u should be trying to score. that should be the number 1 priority. i personally am not ready to give up on adam yet. I'd like to see him on a top line again to start the year and have ruff leave him there. who cares about his defensive play. if the kid can score, let him score. dont toss him on the 4th line and be done with him.its just like what ruff did with boyes. i bet you boyes scores 25G and 26A this year. if so, it would just further prove my point here

Well I guess I would be ok with that as well if we only gave up Sekera and Adam. We have a logjam on the blueline and Adam is persona non grata on this team. I'd rather see Girgs or Grigs make the opening day roster and have Bobby Ryan on the team instead though.

He's shot. He went back to Rochester and played even worse than he was playing here. Might as well get something for him. IF Sekera and Adam get you Gagner make the move.

Adam was never a strong skater, and he was never very good. He benefited early by being at the right place at the right time and allowing the likes of Vanek and Pominville to bank hockey pucks off his shins and into the net. The way Vanek and Pominville were going early on last season, you could have put a monkey on skates, and he would have matched Adam's production.
