That would be awesome! Maybe he can get Paul Allen on board and use his arena, boom instant success story. Then put a team in Seattle and we've almost got a division.

It literally is that bad.

Granted, he's the homer of all homer leafs fans; but he actually had a good point.

If there is no lockout, Burke will probably make a trade to try and save his job to the effect of getting Luongo which would catapult the leafs out of the basement and into 7-9 spot range...otherwise known to Leafs fans as "Nik Antropov territory".

If there is a lockout then for once in a Leafs fans life there's nothing management can do to screw up a VERY high draft pick.

Obviously I'd prefer there'd be no lockout, given that I'm a hockey fan first and a Leafs fan 3rd (Team Canada comes 2nd). But you gotta see it from how incredibly frustrating it is to be a leafs fan in that you need something to happen that simply doesn't allow Burke and the Leafs to screw up the high pick.

I don't fully support it, but I 100% understand it.

the leafs have had 5 top 7 picks in the last 5 yr. If they couldn't do something with them, they will find a way to (frank) up this one. Clb will get mckinnon. He's not the star they deserve, he's the star they need and the star the NHL needs in a bad market like that.

Its 50/50. On days where its cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey, or damp and cool its nice to be inside. Or 40 + degrees you can't bear AC. That being said I personally love working outside most days. I would drive myself crazy at a desk everyday.

I understand the twisted logic, but it's pretty shameful for a hockey fan to not want to see hockey played.

It's up there with the Southern markets reportedly not wanting to compete with football. If you can't at least break even with your team and you think locking out the fans you actually do have makes more business sense, you should not have a team.

This is the last hurrah for this guy right? I mean, this will be Gary's 3rd or 4th lockout/work stoppage isn't it? At some point someone has to say 'enough is enough'.

The only way to to that is for fans stop buying tickets and merchandice and hit the owners in the pocket book. Or in other words - the Southern US NHL business model.
