I don't see the rich owners wanting to share any more of their money with the poorer teams. Guess we'll see how they respond, but I don't expect hockey to start on time.

Kinda dumb logic...play a season at what their current roster is capable of....10-30% chance of the first overall pick guaranteed. Lockout the whole season 3.33% like the other 29 teams , it's this kind of original/unique thinking that's kept T-O in a consistent spot in the NHL in the past decade.

Except the leafs would have the best chance because of the way it is done. Theres a number of different criteria that if you meet, you get an extra ball. Ex: not having drafted first overall in the last 3 years gives TO a better shot(%) at first overall than edmonton.

There was one on whether Phanuef will be on the Canadian hockey team in So hi. Ian should just pick pick random players and ask if they will be there. Will Keven Cannautton be on team Canada?

Why not

- VANTEL

Well the only way Neon Dion makes the team is if they draw it out of a hat, so Cannautton should have the same odds

Really? I wasn't here for half the day and maybe Micah cleaned up the board, but I didn't think it was too bad. There was actually some decent conversations going on.

Bloated got hit by a Leaf mod but not Juice. I am not even sure it happened in here . He could have been stirring it up over there.

Yeah it's bad over there. All the leafs fans claiming Phaneuf is better than Hamhuis

All the Canadiens fans getting upset that Augello left Subban off the list (seriously)

And there's even some mods in there taking shots at Canucks fans. Entertainment for all.

Hell even a portion of the leaf fans know the question is a stupid one. If that counts as a serious blog, then we have kicked the door open to a new world of blogs.
Will Aaron Rome win both the Norris and hart this season?
Will the Islanders retire Yashin's number?
Will the leafs ever be a competitive team?
Will Depietro ever play 20 games in a season?
Will Raymond ever stop skating in circles?
Will Kessel ever ever back check?
If Burke did have the 1st overall pick in the 2012 draft would he have picked Reilly?

you were in there...quote one Leaf fan who said it was even remotely possible.

I'll wait.

There are a few that said he won't make it but would be in the conversation. And I meant a large portion of leaf fans know it will never happen.
"I agree he wouldn't, but if by "not a chance" you mean in contention, then yeah.-burn

There is no contention. Its not even close

well, honestly, given his WC play of late, he will be on the long list - absolutely. He's just not in the top 8. More like top 10-12.

Hamhuis, Bieksa and Garrison will be on the team before Phaneuf.

Bieksa is as likely to make the team as Phaneuf.

Little early to be saying that.

The other 2 it's a matter of preference I'd say, depending who's picking. Pretty close all around.

None of them will make the top 6 regardless

If they did the same three ball system as last time, it would look like this from what I can tell:
1 ball - Edmonton, Washington, San Jose, Chicago, Phoenix, Vancouver, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Los Angeles, Nashville, Boston, Philadelphia, Montreal
2 balls - NYI, NYR, Colorado, Ottawa, Tampa Bay, Buffalo, New Jersey, St Louis, Anaheim
3 balls - Calgary, Dallas, Winnipeg, Carolina, Minnesota, Toronto, Columbus
