I wish that was the deal.

Luongo and Schnieder are both great goalies in my opinion. Like I said, to me it seems like a win/win situation. The Canucks will either play next season with 2 great goalies or one of them will get traded for another piece that will help. If they trade Luongo, I would understand why. He is older and has a higher cap hit. If they trade Schneider I would also understand. He's younger and they could probably get more for him.

I'll be honest, I don't recall ever noticing Stekel, but he wins face-offs and can play 10-12 minutes of defence first hockey, or at least I gather that from his stats. We all know our own players much better from watching them often. For all the flak that Raymond gets, he's actually a pretty good hockey player, he just falls down a lot. For the record, there is no player currently on the Vancouver roster that I wouldn't trade if it made the team better, giving us a better opportunity to win the cup now and in the future.

There is no way that who ever wrote that is more than 15 or 16 years old, certainly not one of the talking heads on TSN. Funny thing about Steckel: I had never even heard of the guy before the Leafs got him.

So I obviously wasn't expecting much. But for the first 10-20 games, the guy was actually pretty good. Relatively speaking, of course.

And then he just absolutely disappeared. Apparently he had a wrist injury, and couldn't grip the stick properly. Which is kinda a problem when really the only talent you have is winning faceoffs.

So just when I was prepared to go out and buy a new Steckel jersey - this one with a Marlies logo on the front - Carlyle comes in as coach, and apparently falls in love with Steckel. Gave him tons of ice time, apparently trusted him, blah blah blah.

OK, great. Ditch the idea of getting a Marlies Steckel jersey - revert to plan B: a Steckel Heritage Classic jersey.

And then the Leafs go out and sign McClemment. Another guy I've never even heard of, but has 4th line centre written all over him. Yeah, the Leafs needed another guy like that. It was really the only piece we were missing last year (that, and Luongo of course).

I just don't know what to do...

Right after I went out and got my #49 Bolduc jersey he dislocated his shoulder taking a face off...
