1st off you have no idea
2nd off you have no idea
3rdly, seriously man, were not part of any negotiations and neither you or I have any real idea of what the (frank) is going on right now.
So really you and this conjecture is moot, lets stick to biased team fan based unrealistic trades...... - MindFr3eak
By that same logic how can fans say that Luongo is not worth a bag of pucks? Leaf fans come into the Canucks thread all the time and "establish" Luongo's value. Like you said none of us have a fuking clue what he is going to fetch in this trade. |

Yup, a $5M+ back-up makes complete sense. I think you guys should totally do that! - As_I_See_It
Take off your troll hat for two minutes. Why do you care how much Vancouver spends on our goalies. What does this have to do with Toronto?
Luongo is not going there, so really why come in here and talk the same BS day after day?
Burke and Gillis have broken off talks so why? Ian should be banned for starting troll wars .
I have said it for weeks now there is no chance this happens, but if Vancouver does spend 9.3 mil on two goalies that get us to the top of the league then why the fuuck should you care? How does this affect your team. |

Hey little buddy, don't get upset at us.
You clearly stated that if the best offer that the Canucks got was a bad contract coming back the other way, they would just send Luongo off to Sweden.
Which means he would have to clear waivers first.
Well, it's now mid-August, and apparently there hasn't been a good offer.
So a top 5 goalie in the league, 3rd best player on the Canucks last year, and right now your most viable plan is putting him through waivers, and if he clears loaning him to the SEL?
You need to get your story straight before you come on here and start posting.

It's called being butt hurt that the Canucks have 2 goalies capable of winning a game and the Leafs have none. Luongo is going to look pretty good when Reimer and Scrievens are giving up 5 a game. He will look a hell of lot better then Komi and a 3rd. |

Regardless of who started what ,why do you care how much Canucks spend on their goalies? |

From my perspective it's interesting because it's just really, really, ridiculously out of the ordinary. Like never anything close to it in the history of the NHL out of the ordinary. Especially because one of them has demanded a trade. There's nothing wrong with it, but it's a huge deal in terms of what's normal. |

I agree .Canucks do not have to do anything. If Gillis gave Luongo up for Komi a lot of fans would be screaming for him to be fired. I think Vancouver fans are accepting the fact that Canucks may start with both goalies. |

He would have to clear waivers first, at least under the current CBA. Only answering that question, I got your point all along.
These TML fans all want Luongo, they just can't admit it. If they didn't, they would be someplace else. |

There are about 4 other teams that have around the same amount invested in the 2 goalies .So that part is not that unusual.
Luongo is under contract . The best thing he can do is shut his mouth and play ,or else he will be sent to an unpleasant team. |

They absolutely want Luongo, just like you guys would prefer to trade Luongo. They just want to do it at a good price, just like you guys do. |

Then stop bringing it up and stop worrying about our team.

I think Luongo is going to Florida and the deal will be finalized after Doan makes up his mind. |

No problem then he should clear waivers easily then because no one wants a goalie for 10 years at 5.3 per. |

The thing that makes all this ridiculous is that most of the trade proposals do nothing to satisfy each team's needs. I have posted my perspective in the past, not really interested in spending the time to rehash it once again. |

They all want Luongo becasue they know he could be a difference maker but they don't want to pay for him at all and they justify that lack of payment by always bringing up his contract. IF (and that is a big if) he goes to Toronto, I think the majority of Leaf fans are going to be surprised by the return. It will not be Gardnier, Reilly and 1st, but it will be a hell of lot better then a salary dump and a mid round pick. |

You don't think there's any difference between having one elite starter making starter level money and one nhl backup making nhl backup money, and having two starters making starter level money? It's not all about contract dollars, it's about having two highly paid starters on the same roster who both want to start! |
