1) Blaming it all on the owners???? You gotta be kidding, right? I seem to recall a few players over the years who have held out for the money and term they wanted. It takes two to tango you know. All the owners fault....bahahahahhaha...that's funny!

2) It is the owners that virtually take all of the risk on these contracts and players...why should they not hold the control here. People seem to forget that it is these owners that put up the hundreds of millions of dollars to buy these teams. The players simply show up and get paid...with minimal risk.


The reason we have this "strike" mess is because the owners are trying to claw back and the player's don't want to. It is greed all around. I say that until the NHL can get rid of guaranteed contracts, we will continue to see this nonsense go on.
