As a Penguins fan a trade that has always wrinkled my brain was Naslund for Stoijanov.

It's not like the Penguins had to trade Naslund due to finances coughjagrcough. They could have kept him and developed him and found toughness with any other bottom of the barrel fighter that seems to lay around the FA scrapyard. But instead they shipped a struggling but promising player out of town for a guy who vanished within a couple months of the trade.

Example . Sulzer can't even make our team and he is a star Dman on Buffalo

Just my opinion and I am probably going to get killed for him but I would take any of the oilers young guns for kesler in a heart beat (hall, Nuge, Eberle, Yakapov). If the leafs ever offered Kessel for kesler I would also seriously consider that. The canucks problem has always been scoring goals not preventing them.

Not sure the exact stats but in the last 12 playoff games the canucks have scored like 13 goals or something like that. People can say whatever they want about kessel being a DEFENSIVE loser but at 24 he has scored a crap load of goals playing with TYLER BOZAK and being the only option on the leafs. If he had a Hank or was the 2nd option on the canucks he would be a scoring machine.

I dont like to rub it in much... but he said that Aquilini and Gillis have been talking to Jamie Benn and that he wants to play here and will hold out to do so and the Canucks are Building up for a massive one year one million 13 million signing bonus. Some food for thought.

Kesssel would help van score goals. But the hole at 2nd line center would be way to big and make them worse off. Any team that wins is stacked at center.

That is actually my point...Phi traded players to get lindros...it was a pure hockey trade. Edm didn't get the players (though there were some), the big part of the trade was CA$H...Pocklington was (frank)ing his team over...it just showed the depth of the Oilers that they were able to win again as fast as they did...
