The blog is trade proposals . This is where we try to make up proposals about hypothetical offers of what we think would be equal value trades.

Have you actually talked to John Davidson and know for a fact that Backes would never be on the trade block. They had a one year of success under a very defensive coach. They may come no where near that success this year.

Leaf fans who think that Komi Kadri and a 2 nd will land Crosby should not be going to other blogs and ripping other imaginary offers.

He's under 30 and he's the captain of their team and he's signed to a nice deal until the completion of the 15-16 season. Unless the Blues decide to do an Oiler like rebuild Backes will be part of the Blues for a long time. It will take an offer that blows Davidson's mind (not straight across for Kesler) to willingly trade Backes.

Your clearly confused. He was clearly complimenting Keslers defensive game when he referred to him shutting down Toews. Toews is clearly better then both Kesler and Backes. Neither Backes nor Kesler have a cup. Neither have a major award, sorry one of them does. Neither have lead their team deep into the playoffs. Wait one has. Backes and Kesler are both great players. I doubt their teams would trade them. But for a van or stl fan to laugh at a proposal as if it was one sided including just the 2 of them, reeks of moron.

The thing that is different about the Malkin trade rumours/fan offers is that it wasn't Penguin fans throwing them around. We recognize that we would never get equal value in a trade for Malkin

It was Clowe Havalat for LUongo and Booth . Very convenient to leave Booth off the actual proposal.

I never said they didn't. Perhaps Davidson could talk to Armstrong after a conversation with Gillis or even Gillman. But to say a conversation with Davidson couldn't lead to a trade with stl is not very bright.
