Assistant goalie coach? He was working with our prospects.

Keep him away from Lack and Cantana.

I thought he was Marc Crawford's pool boy?

You're trolling yourself because Backes isn't available.

Secondly, Kesler's injured and is coming off of a poor season. There will be no trade involving Backes for Kesler. If Kesler's so awesome why would Vancouver trade him for a guy who hasn't won the Selke or led his team to the SCF. Riddle me that.

I think he was more of a guest speaker (skater). He is not listed on the Canucks site as a coach, and others recently hired are (Baumgartner).

True, they may have just brought him in for the prospects camp.

I am trolling on a Canuck blog?

The blog is trade proposals . This is where we try to make up proposals about hypothetical offers of what we think would be equal value trades.

Have you actually talked to John Davidson and know for a fact that Backes would never be on the trade block. They had a one year of success under a very defensive coach. They may come no where near that success this year.

Leaf fans who think that Komi Kadri and a 2 nd will land Crosby should not be going to other blogs and ripping other imaginary offers.

Now now...no need to get like that:
Kesler: NHL Totals 561games 153(.17gpg)goals 184assist 337points .60ppg
Backes: NHL Totals 446games 126 goals(.28gpg) 146assist 272points .61ppg

While they are comparable in many categories Backes is a goal scoring Power forward...as shown by his higher hits total and his higher goals per game %.

Kesler has made some accomplishments...but I do not see StL wanting to trade Backes.

He's under 30 and he's the captain of their team and he's signed to a nice deal until the completion of the 15-16 season. Unless the Blues decide to do an Oiler like rebuild Backes will be part of the Blues for a long time. It will take an offer that blows Davidson's mind (not straight across for Kesler) to willingly trade Backes.

Blog sites do not render trolling impossible by locals...

The rest, which I did remove prematurely, IS the basis of this blog though. It is all about trade possibilities. This works on both sides. Proposals are submitted and then debated. His points are as good as yours.

I don't see Backes getting traded. It would be (to StL) like trading Kesler after the SCF run. There is more work to do, why trade such an important player.

When does Kesler play nasty? When he plays Sam Gagner. That doesn't count.

That series against Nashville was something else, that is true.
