OH Puhleasse...
I could go back in archives and find where Nuck fans are going on about Weber coming home! Book it! And it goes on all the time...Weber was coming home for sure, Schultz no question, Parise, now Doan and Benn? And RNH is always "coming home once his ELC is up" Then after the fact when they go somewhere else, you change your tune and say oh we just wanted them we didnt really expect them...and in the same breathe most of you then start bashing them saying "I'm glad they didnt come". Sore losers...That is Vancouver fans and that is why the rest of the league HATES Van fans.
- Iggysbff
As stated: you lie. Blatant, outright, delusional lies. End of story. |

The movie Gang of New York starts at 6. For those of you who haven't seen it in a while take a look very good movie. The accents are a little weak but good story. - VANTEL
It's a Leo movie... I can't watch a Leo movie... and Kate Winslet is also ruined for me thanks to Titantic. Kate Beckingsale on the other hand, even with Pearl Harbour redeemed herself with Underworld. |

Weber was said by posters here to want to play here...obviously take it for what you will, this is a rumour site and not a fact site...but fans here were pretty into saying that....remember that if he wanted to play in Van so bad he just didn't have to sign the offer sheet...the OS means nothing until he signs it.
Same goes for J Schultz...it was a forgone conclusion that he would sign here because of his birthplace in kelowna. and his fave team growing up was the Nucks...
It was said that he was not guaranteed a Top 4 spot in Edm. Schultz also said that he was not demanding it either.
He does have a better chance to earn the Top 4 spot than on other teams, no doubt, but he will have to earn it. Odds on fave to get a spot on 5-6 and get PP time.
FYI: Justin Schultz said that he decided to become an Edmonton Oiler before the telephone calls from Wayne Gretzky and Paul Coffey.
Schultz is very impressed by the Oilers collection of outstanding young forwards such as Jordan Eberle, Taylor Hall, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and now Nail Yakupov and figured it was a perfect fit for him. "Getting the call from the greatest player to play the game was pretty cool but I don't know if it swayed my decision at all. I always kind of knew I wanted to play there," Schultz said. He also said that he was not promised a spot on the roster, nor did he want one as he wants earn his place on the team. It's going to an exciting time in Edmonton for a long time. Jul 1 - 8:39 AM

So yeah I'll believe him over how it went down over your rendition, tyvm.
As for the bold part...Sakic couldn't handle the pressure? Dude the guy won a cup..multiple actually, also a gold medal...yeah I think he can handle pressure. I think he was just happy to play and it was not important where. - OilHorse
Sorry, I wasn't clear on that one. Let me clarify: Kariya couldn't handle the pressure. Sakic simply had no interest whatsoever in playing in Vancouver. He had a good life in Colorado and otherwise I know of no reason other than he just didn't want to.

Yeah put Leo out of the picture, great story and pretty realistic. Good gore scenes. |

As long as Kate Beckinsale looks good in leather/rubber, that series will, and should, continue to live on. |

what are you tradin? metal table top hockey players in an after school league?
fricken danny briere is going NO WHERE! and if he was , you'd have to come up with a better offer than that lame ass 1 you proposed for danny!
the fans love danny, the flyers love danny, he loves the city and is a single dad raising his 3 kids so he has them firmly entrenched with solid structured living in the philly/ jersey area!
now on the other hand, what is really gonna happen with LU? i don't think fla, toronto, or columbus are gonna pony up what gillis wants. dale won't put markstroms progression on hold, burke won't give gillis what he wants & LU won't wave for columbus! so WHO is left out there? who needs a goalie that has a legit shot at a cup & that LU would agree to accept a trade to? keeping in mind gillis might have to eat some bad money back, you tell me? |

You can't go to the results that you want and devise a way to prove them. It's not how it works. Scientist and mathematician would be discredited for doing that.
Kesler AVG 19 goals/year Career.
Backes AVG 21 goals/year career.
Kesler has a larger margin of swing(higher and lower) from his AVG than Backes. How's that for proving consistency? - burn

You know how LA pulled off the Howard trade with Orlando via the Nuggets and 76ers? That's kinda how Lu is gonna go, but except it's going to be to Toronto via Columbus via Florida with Vancouver ending up with Bjugstad, Mattias, Gardiner and 3 firsts from FLA/CLB/TOR. |

Yeah, I can picture her as catwoman, in fact, I'm doing it right now.
They should have had them both dress up like catwoman, then have them fight for the part. |

No they are not, fictional stats were a way of making a point regarding consistency. The discussion was not about who was better, it was about who was more consistent. It was simply easier to make the numbers up then copy and paste a bunch of real stats. - 1970vintage
The end point was that what you were presenting is lies. It was not real. It is skewed to make what you want as fact believable.
That doesn't look much like the scoring line of one of the best scorers ever, I think you are leaving a few years out? But I think you get the point that when your goal totals vary by a wide margin from one year to the next, you may lack some consistency, which is what this was about. - 1970vintage
Those are real years...and consecutive years at that...Wayne Gretzky. Think you may have heard of him. It is not hard to get stats to show a wide variety of scoring totals without resorting to fake numbers. But I do not think that anyone would have said Gretzky was inconsistent. |

Is all good, I didnt mind the Kariya part, but Sakic?!?!?!! I could only shake my head and wonder if I took that many drugs in the 90s that I forgot something about Sakic, or if there was another Sakic I didn't know about.
