I should have said trade or free agent

Pitkanen
Seidenberg
Richards & Carter
Gagne
Bouch
Sharp

- Daman

Gagne??

Frick and Frack

I have the winner. Hands down.

Enter, stage left, #21, Mr. Peter Forsberg

EDIT: Didn't see the "still playing" criteria. The choices make more sense. We should change it to all time. More fun that way

that doesn't mean we have to cyber-bully to make up for inadequacies in real life either.

And Parent signed to play over in Germany.

He's still a UFA... the DEL rumor was unconfirmed.

I'd have included Kindrachuk if I were doing a top 10 or some such. He is deserving of honorable mention for sure. It was hard to come up with the defensemen. Considered Mark Eaton as well.

Yes, I have done similar blogs in past summers, especially in the off-season dog days of August. This is an updated version.

The original report is here:
http://www.bz-berlin.de/s...suche-article1479867.html

Translation of the part pertaining to Parent:
EHC Manager Peter John Lee. "We consider a number of interesting players," This will be Ryan Parent (25, Chicago Wolves) and Mark Katic (23, NY Islanders).

As you can see, there's no reported contract, only expression of interest. Somebody at TSN made a wrongful assumption.

I trust TSN explicitly. If they have it listed that he signed there, that's good enough for me.

He's been up and down from the minors. Been given multiple chances by different teams. Cleared Waivers multiple times without being claimed. Had a lot of promise but for whatever reason, he didn't fulfill it. Lacked in physical play and his play away from the puck was poor.

In other words we have his carbon copy, Matt Walker already waiting in the wings.

You must mean implicitly, and are you sure you want to trust a databse that still has JvR, Kubina, Bob and Bacashihua still listed as being on the Flyers current roster?

Yes, I do. Obviously if they have that on Parent, it would be something that was updated recently. The date on there is recent.

Search under the players list. You'll see that Bacashihua, and Kubina are unaffiliated with a team.

Scroll down to Bobrovsky. What does it say next to his name?

Do want you want to do. I think both are interesting.

I guess the difference between Forsberg and Sharp is that we got nothing back for the latter.

Maybe a third list - all time give aways (like Sharp) or players we should have kept that left via FA.

That brings up a good point. If I can recall - Walker really didn't play all that bad for a 6-7 type of a guy. The main problem was his cap hit. And, sure the 1.7M cap hit was an issue. But, the cap is not an issue anymore. Not that it's an ideal situation, but Walker as a 6 spot guy wouldn't be the end of the world.

Since every Flyers season is a cavalcade of injuries, I wonder if the team would consider changing the logo. Perhaps this would be an option.
